Jon, The Wall and the realm

Well you never know, Joffrey tortured Sansa within sight of the kingsguard and even had them aid in her beatings mental and physical. But if Rhaegar was a "true" knight, the L+R= Jon isn't that hard to believe.

from what is written he sems to be a true knight, also, the kingsguard seems to me filled with better men at that point.

Jax, I agree with you. Meryn, Mandon, Boros, and Sandor all beat Sansa, iirc. But the one time that Tyrion, the Imp, a dwarf, as far from a Knight as you can get, saw Sansa's mistreatment, he immediately put an end to it.

KB, Jaime reflected that Ser Gerold Hightower told him that they served the King and would not hinder him from assaulting and raping the Queen... and everyone agreed that Ser Gerold was a truer knight and better man than Jaime.

And what about Ser Arryk and Ser Erryk? They were brothers, they served in the Kingsguard, and they killed each other. Why would two of the Kingsguard fight each other to the death? There had to be some serious palace intrigue happening then. Oh they were definitely better men.

And I seem to recall that Prince Aemon, the Dragonknight, was one of the greatest to ever wear the White, yet he also cuckolded the King... his progeny ruled Westeros. Definitely a better man than Jaime.

And if Barristan the Bold was so courageous, why did he not choose death or the Wall over being the Lord Commander of Robert's Kingsguard? At least Jaime was unapologetic about his betrayal... but Barristan the Bold is considered the better man.

I don't always buy that line... "Ah, I miss the good old days!" In a song called Keeping the Faith, Billy Joel once sang, "The good old days weren't always good, and tomorrow ain't as bad as it seems."

tsw, And only a few people really know that Jaime is the father of Cersei's children. To the rest, it's all rumor and gossip. But I'm just playing Devil's Advocate... as I'm wont to do.

The wunerful thing about Tiggers... are Tiggers are romantics at heart.
Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of... whoops, not in front of the kids!

Back to the OP... the Wall will not come down unless The Other personally arrives to tear it down. If, somehow, The Other is slain, then perhaps warmer weather might prevail in the North and the Wall might melt.

Will the Blackfish go to Dany?

The Faith? I'd not thought of that.

Stoneheart is a possibility, but what will he do when he sees her condition? Brienne screams, "Blackfish!"

If he would kill her (if she can be killed), then I think most of us would want him to go to her and get the job done. But something tells me the Blackfish will go to Dany when she lands or at least pledge himself to her (especially if she puts a Stark back in Winterfell) and that Thoros will rid us of Stoneheart.

I was posting on the "Least Farorite Character" thread regarding Ser Jorah... and this thought struck me. If this has been posted before, I apologize.

I've been wondering where and when Jorah will show up again.

Will he go to the Wall? He had that chance when Ned was coming for him and he passed on it. I don't think he'll do it now.

Will he go back to Bear Island? The Mormont ancestral home is ruled by a ten year old girl. If Jorah supported Bolton and the Lannisters, they might give it to him. Stannis would hang Jorah and the Krakens would not need an alliance... they'd just take Bear Island. Jorah, most likely, can't go home.

He's served as a mercenary before and he might do it again. Jorah could lead a company of mercenaries or be a bodyguard.

Yet, I keep thinking that Jorah longs to strike back. He's angry, completely humiliated, desperate, and filled with hatred. Who does he think betrayed him? Ned, but he's already dead. Robert, he's dead like Ned. Barristan, Jorah would be child's play before Barristan. Dany, if he thinks he could sneak past the Unsullied, her blood riders, Belwas, Barristan, Daario, and her dragons, then he's a complete fool.

No, the one who started Jorah's misery is still alive... his wife. I picture Jorah attempting to strangle her, ala Desdemona.

Now isn't she in one of the free cities? Jorah might run into Arya... poor Jorah. Or Tyrion, Tyrion might be able to redirect Jorah's thirst for vengeance into a plan that's beneficial to Tyrion. Besides, Tyrion needs a new Bronn.

heehee...hmm...That's exactly right! Tyrion is probably attracted to whores because he associates them with Tysha. Poor Tyrion...I think he's the saddest character in the series. I want to give him a hug and tell him it's allright.

...that'd be terrible for his environmental policy with the tree-hugging northmen.
