Cersei's champion

Beware "The Fruitcake That Rides" : Gregor's body with a fruitcake head that not even Valyrian steel can slice.

That's funny.

But must Cersei have trial by combat? She could still take her chances in court, right? The only reason she was looking at trial by combat, iirc, was because her case before a tribunal seemed hopeless... and now that it appears that she does not have a champion at all, why not go back to court?

If Cersei goes to court, she'll need to buy off the witnesses. Does she have the connections and the payment to pull this off? The payments, yes. The connections, yes... but from the Sparrow's jail she cannot pull this off.

If Cersei goes to combat, she'll need to get a real nasty fighter admitted into the Kingsguard quickly. Again she has the connections and the means to reward her champion, but I don't see how she can arrange this from her cell.

Most of her friends are deserting her and those who remain loyal are highly suspect by the Faith... Qyburn and others can be arrested upon the slightest accusation.

Cersei's best hope is that Mace Tyrell and/or Randyll Tarly bring their troops to King's Landing asap... which they might very well be doing at the moment. I doubt the Queen of Thorns, Mace, Garlen, and Loras will let Margaery stay long as a captive. But then again, if the Tyrells can free Margaery while leaving Cersei in chains, then they will have gained the throne.

So, it appears that Cersei is in mortal danger... unless the High Septon names the most pious Sparrow as his champion.

<chuckle> The Fruitcake that Rides. <chuckle>

As I recall correctly from 'Hedge Knight' once you've declared you want trial by combat you can't go back on your decision. In fact if you declare trial by combat and you don't get the champion(s) turn up to fight your case, you are judged as guilty by default!

Now Cersai still thinks Jaime is going to come ridding over the hills to save her... he might still plausibly do so, not very likely from reading his last chapter though. From reading her chapter she's evidently still thinks he's her dog at beck and call...

What if she did send Gregors head but decided to put Tywins head on the mountains body?????
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

My axe.................quickly!

Wow... interesting idea!

I'm sure there's no shortage of heads around King's Landing, the first innocent "dwarf" who was purported to be Tyrion was brought in sans body. I seem to remember some mention of it being big enough to be Tyrions (as opposed to small enough).

Tywin corpse was taken back by his brother Kevan, i am sure he would have noticed a difference in Tywin, moreover i do not see Cersei violating her father body like that, she reveres him too mcuh for that

So, Kevan still has taken his body back after the wake was done, now i would find it very odd, if Tywin did not see that his brother was missing a head

Maybe Kevan never popped his box open again, he was getting ripe afterall. Catelyn sat in a river for three days getting gnawed on by Nymeria before she was brought back, so why not? I'm sure this isn't out of the realm of possibility... it is a fantasy story.

From what i'v seen of the previous burials, with the sisters, the corpse is lain upon a stretcher with cloth upon them, before they get buried.
Besides his relatives at casterly rock proably had a last look as well.

That does not mean he will make every farfetched theory come true

What exactly is your problem?
I Have No Problem I Am Not Crazy........

Seriously though, i am just saying that it is mighty farfetched, How big do you consider the changes of Tywin head being put upon Gregors body really.
Knowing what you know of Cersei regards (Qyburn is up until know been her pet), Kevan feelings towards his brother, the knowledge of previous dealings with corpses and so on. Do you really belive this theory is viable?

I know some people like to dream randomly about things ( Boaz beeing one of them), but sometimes i cannot help but feel that if you think twice about it, one must conclude that there is like 0.0001% chance that this will happen.

I like a good theory as much as the next, but too often am i forced to think the writer just smoked a bonpipe. Now if this does come to pass i am most willing to smoke your bonpipe

BJ, can I call you BJ? Do yourself a favor and ignore Kiwi. He's insulting and sometimes intentionally obtuse. But more importantly he enjoys being deprecating and putting people on edge. So take solace with the following simple phrase, it will make your visits here far more enjoyable.

Lolz, i knew something like this would come up.

The fact is someone has to point out that sometimes others get to hang up on certain ideas without thinking twice. Perhaps it is just that i am more thick skinned, and would not mind if you reacted to my posts like that.

But that is just me, i am like that, then again i have always been called a bit weird, but so be it.

i forgot to ask you, what is so wrong with putting people on edge, it makes them sharp, thus exacting better results, and in the end perhaps better theories (that last part gonna bite me in the a-ss)

Now i do not find myself overly insulting, nor do i derive enjoyment from it, i am not sure wether you are joking with me or being serious though....

i wonder if he can read this
