Eragon

Amazon was probably harsh because they can or because it fell into the teen fiction genre they looked down on it as being unedgible crap.

they did this with tolkien a while ago, though people complained (and me, lol) about it and they changed it to be more positive instead of harsh.

anyone else remember that??
 
I remember that. I also complained.

To the thing about Eldest having the most filler out of any book you've read Scriven you obviously havent read Odalisque by Fiona McIntosh. I could cover my garden with it.
 
or The Silmarilion by Tolkien, that could cover all of upper, middle and lower earth. lol
 
Hey I like Tolkien. Unfinished Tales has more.

Saw the movie. Hated it. Well didnt hate it just didnt like it how they missed out so much. They screwed it up for the second one.
 
well when i saw the films it was like, wow great first film, but boromir dies in the second book and whos the big urak hai dude?

the second was, wow but the first is now obselete and the last one was woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow but the battle of minis tirith lasted days and loads of chapter in the book but only 10mins on screen and the ghosts did all the hard part. and they cut out Sharkey and the battle for hobbiton and the shire. damn them
 
Ah, i thought the movie was ok. If you've seen Star Wars, (Aka A new Hope) then you've seen Eragon too. It's almost identicle to it.
 
I thought the Cji fot it was pretty good. (The diretor had been a visule effets diretor before he becasme a movie diretor,and maby that's why the movie wasn't that good.)

well i thought if jackson could do 3 films in 18months i thought this directot cld 1 in 2 years and still achieve same results
they both had the same budget for it
 
Aggggghhhhhhhh I'm lost. Where are we? Ah yes. Peter Jackson had that budget for 3 and Eragon had the same budget for 1. But then again LOTR was alot better.
 
I really enjoyed both Eragon and Eldest and thought it was a rather good read. Though, there were some parts where I really want to whack Eragon across the head; esp with him and the whole Arya thing.

You'd probably want to do that too me as well with my woman problems.

Eragon is alot like other books/stories. Star Wars and LOTR.

Did anyone like the loacation where they filmed it(I think some where in Slyvokia(sp))? They did lotr in New Zealend(sp?). The loacation seemed alot like Wisconson(and other wildernes states),like a wildernes feel(Go to Wisconsen Dells and you'll se what I'm talking about),but
 
I didnt like the location that they filmed it in. It didnt seem to suit the book.
 
I went crazy while watching it. Had had my rant in the Eragon movie section thing. They ruined it!

Then I wouldn't want to know the location Upright man. I'm too young to die =D
