Newbie post a thread: Least favorite death

my least fav death was robb...
the red wedding was messed up. sure he made a mistake but he's young and we tend to make many mistakes. i was pretty ticked when he killed off robb cause now the only character i like thats still alive is jon and they were ploting aginst him. and was sad how greywind had died. kinda changed how i saw some of the characters.
 
Back to the issue of Ygritte for a moment. I believe the whole thing was absolutely essential for the development of Jon's character. Before that he really didn't know what it was that he was giving up with the oath he swore. Sure its easy to forswear against something you don't know. For example, there are places in the world where brains are considered a delicacy. I'll go on record right now swearing to never touch the stuff. The people who love the stuff will think its such a shame and pity me, but I don't care, I don't know what it is that I'm missing. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, although its sad for me to see her go, another part of me is glad because of how it develops Jon's character.
 
I didn't have any issue with her being killed off, outside of the fact that it made me sad, lol.

Obviously there was no further part for her to play.
 
Lots of powerful deaths in the series - but the one that most grates, the one that I think has been genuinely mishandled, is the final death of Beric Dondarrion, the Lightning Lord...

I really hated that one.
 
The Red Wedding was one of the most fantastic things to read, even though I hate Robb, and it was the time I realised I loved Catelyn...Hers probably would be the least favourite death had she not reappeared later!!!!

Ned's is probably mine. It really got to me. I was so close to him, he was a brilliant character (so Hanno Hath from Wind on Fire) and then he died and i was in total shock!!!! I was crying so much, and it's Sansa's fault...I could jsut imagine her screaming repetitively and hysterically, over and over and I was crushed...damn Joffrey.

Joffrey's death would be the best :D. And so will the future discovery of nuclear bombs, then dropping them onto highgarden :D:D

Waaaaait a minute. My least fave will change when Cersei dies. I predict it and I am sad. I mourn her already... :(
 
For me, the most disappointing death was the Lightning Lord's. It was a travesty to have it offscreen.

As a Stark Loyalist, I was saddened by Ned and Robb's deaths, but they weren't my "least favorite" because GRRM wrote them so well.
 
My least favorite death was Ned's, way back in book 1. It definately set the perfect tone for everything that followed. After that, nothing suprised me. The only other I would miss is Tyrion's (say it isn't so). I really didn't miss any of the other diseased, I mean deceased, that much. I would regret Sam's death. It would be so easy, why bother?

My favorite death was Catlyn, followed by my least favorite resurrection being Stoneheart. I do wish GM had written in when the lightning lord screwed up and brought her back. It would have made for an interesting scene (of course there was no one in that group who's POV had been created before, therefore allowing us into the event.

My next favorite death will definately be Sansa, followed closely by Cersei (sorry Quennie).

Strange, I don't seem to like many of the female characters except Arya and Margaery. That's o.k., neither does GM.

sigh. it's alright, i suppose. I've grown used to everyone hating her.

I like characters who know what they are and accept it, and use it. I liked Cersei in AGAT, she was a nasty ***** and she knew it. But since then she's been blaming everyone else for her failures, I can't dig that. Now she sounds like a whiny spoiled brat. She had hope in ACOK when she was getting ready to kill Sansa, but she never did it.

Margaery is Cersei but with style (or at least she will be). Don't be fooled, she's as selfish, wicked, inhuman as the rest of them, but she's cunning, oh, so cunning, and therefore keeps it hidden. I look at her grandmother and I love it. And the grandma's the one who Margaery is taking after.

Trust me, after this whole mess with the Faith the gloves are coming off and Margi's gonna be the nastiest cat in the ally.

Or I'm a fool and totally off and I'll start hating her soon, too.

Who can tell with GM.

Hey, we already know Daenerys likes chics. How about DAe, Tyrion and Maergi as the dragon's heads? THAT WOULD BE INTERESTING. Her brother is gay, maybe it runs in the family? And you know little T would dig it.

I didn't think you were really spitting at me, but I wanted to use the response so I wrote it anyway.

She's not going to live long passed Cersei, so I'm not going to defend her that much.

But it would be cool if she become Dae's girl, along with little T. If the dragon is sterile, then The Rose and the Lion would have to make the children and win out in the end. How pissed off, sorry, upset, would the fans be then?
 
No I think she'll die before Cersei. You gotta give Cersei that last pleasure of watching the Tyrell scum perish.

Rose plus Lion=prickly piece of crap.
Lion plus Lion plus Dragon=muchos coolio!!!!

No margaery must go NEAR either tyrion or dany.

And deep in the bottom of my heart lies the futile hope that Cersei will escape her shackles and run far away, living in the trees with squirrels
 
LOL - Are you a closet tree hugger (hippie)? I see her putting flowers in her hair and running through the grass singing "Let the sun shine..." She's definately nutty enough to live with the squirrels. (LOL at my own (corny) jokes)

I'd like to see her escape also...long enough for one of the three D's to find her and eat her (yummy).

I think you're being too tough on Maergaery. She's evil, trust me. You'll see how bad she can be, then you'll become her biggest fan.

She's just had a run of bad luck with men (Gay, sociopath, 10 year old). All she needs to round it off is a dwarf and hermaphrodite (dragons are consider genderless hehe).

EXCUUUUUUUUUUSE ME!!!! I know perfectly well that little whore (rich coming from me) is evil, she can't be anything else. But I only like cool evil people, she's a is a dirty, skanky biatch and needs death in the most horrible ways possible.

I shall personally make sure she doesn't get near either Tyrion or Dany, who by the by will NOT be eating/getting their dragons to eat Cersei.
