SG-1 Vids in the US

According to one source, it was mentioned at GateCon that those of us in the US will start seeing the videos/DVDs come out in February of next year.

So we may be able to get caught up with our pals across the water.

That would be good! Don't they already release DVDs in the US?
We have been lucky here in Aus, we have got all of series one release and the first half of series 2 (more to come) !

Also on series 2 videos in Australia, we have a nice new start-up screen (We no longer see the pan shot or Ra, but a nice new aussie scenes! Very good)

The US currently only has the one DVD with CofG, Enemy Within, and Emancipation on it. As for video's, it's the same except without Emancipation.

Wow, so Aus isn't that bad off?
If i could hook the TV up to my computer i would love to tape the start-up screen/credits i was talking aobut in my last post, I'm pretty sure that everyone will agree with me that it is much better to what Showtime gets!

I don't know. I actually like the Showtime credits. I think it's a little classier than the TV formula of show a bunch of clips and superimpose the actors names over the top of their face stuff.

Thus the bit in Pilot straight after Apohpis retreats through the Stargate with the earth woman. Is that what you were talking about all the time?

Yes, in the US Syndication they show old clips from the first season of the actors and superimpose their name there rather than the RA headdress and the actors names on that (except for RDA)as they do in the new season (4).

Cool, maybe it's not Aussie. Do they have series 2 clips on it too?



I have recently heard that series 3 videos will be released in Aus in February.

No. Just season 1 clips. Groan. They do not update. Season 3 starts in syndication tonight so will check and see if they have changed the clips. But I doubt it.

As many Yanks have stated we just have COTG and just a few of season 1 on video tapes and CD. Did not start taping until season 2 and only have some of them so went to gammaquad to review season 1 and some of 2 that I don't have.

I have 18 episodes and pilot from series one, 11 episodes from series 2, and all of series 3 (on tape and .asf) and the first 10 epsisodes of series 4.

Getting back to the point, does anyone know when series 3 will be released on vid in the UK or US?

We in the US have only Children of the Gods and I believe up to Emancipation in Season 1 on tape and DVD. We are slow...very slow.

On this we are in total agreement! Looked on the net for season 1 for over a year and could only find them sold in England and they did not work in my machine! but we do have season4 before anyone else! That is the only saving grace!

Okay here's the goss on SG in Aus everyone....

Along time ago in country called Australia (About 6 months ago) Everystate in Australia were getting the same Episode of Stargate weekly starting at 'The Tok'ra' (Before that don't ask i was a mere kiddy). Okay, basically from here half of Aus decided to end at "The Devil You know" While other parts of Australia kept going to Nemesis.

Now, the Nemisis half have now gone on, while the "TDYK" half have just been sitting in their lounge chairs watching double eppy's of JAG.

Have already decided to hit that station with a dumptruck of shoes! What a bunch of bums!

Agreed. I'm thinking after they have finished with the double JAG we will get double SG...... hoping anyway
