SG-1 Vids in the US

Hey, we have to be positive, and it will have a positive outcome (Gee i sound like my ex-Commerce teacher :))
you are not being positive jsc :)

Well, I lived in Sout Central Los Angeles for 12 years. Keep dreaming but exspect the worst! That did keep me alivein some nasty situations!

Cool, did you live downtown LA? (sorry always wanted to say that:))

On 36th Place near USC, one block away. I was not a nice area, though or we might have bought there and now where we are now! But I can look off our balcony and see downtown. It looks good at night!

No! We miss all that! No police chases where we are. No high speed death traps and no trucks driving into our house!

Where we are is very quiet! Winding streets and trees and real human beings!

i have to go see what'll it take to get the pre-recorded season 1's. course they come up with this after i get good dubs of the first 2 seasons...ooh well. think i'll buy them anyway.
jsc, do you need dubs of season 1 or 2? i got em you you want me to make you a copy.

Aww, that's not real L.A. then jsc. Okay i might be terribly wrong but is that really big sign "HOllyWood" that's on the side of a hill, in LA?

Sky- do/can you do PAL dubs?

skydiver, still thinking about your offer. My son is pushing for DVD's first season.

Martouf,

Yes, we see the big HOLLYWOOD sign from La Brea Ave from the top of our hill. I live about half way up, in the very quiet section. And I can enter the mess that is LA anytime I choose. Occasionally it seeps up here. Three nights ago was sitting with my son and dog on the balcony and we heard the police heliocopter announce two blocks away that we had better lock our doors and put on our alarms. He hopped over the balcony and closed and locked the downstairs door and went to his alarm pad, did the status check and then locked us down. That is as much excitement as wee need! Problems on Stocker! Got both us and Baldwin Hills. But my son and I got laughing as this is the only area in the South section of LA where they tell you to lock your doors AND put on the alarms!

Wow, the biggest excitement we get around here is a few roos jumping around the street.....

We also here gun fire from down below! But can't tell what section it is in. At least it is not aimed in our direction anymore! When we lived in South Central it was an every night occurrance to hear gun fire. We even had a walk by shooting! As we say in da hood, "He too poor for a car, so he done a walk by!"

Oh that is soo cool!!!!!
i wish i lived ove there in da hood

No it is not! Imagine pulling up to the front of your apartment and two seconds later you are surrounded by police hustling you home by the back way and asking how many people are in your complex. All becasue the nut across the street decided he didn't like his relates coming over and took pot shots at them... with a high powered rifle. First thing I taught my son was to duck when he heard gunfire or to lay flat on the street. Felt as if i were living in a war zone!

Gee, sounds like Corza's street :)
That wouldn't be that bad :( you could make up stories to the cops, or at least water bomb 'em :)

If they don't shoot you they jail you for that! Neither is fun!

Hehe, the 'piggies' will jail ya for minor offences like that? Do they all eat donuts?

kThey had a doughnut shop near us and near USC. They congregated anywhere there are doughnuts and Black people on street corners. Even the old folk whose habit it is to stnd or sit on a corner or lot. The cops would hastle.

Finally, my neighbor's brother(who was in his seventies at the time) got hastled so much he put chairs on his lawn and his friends(uaually the people 60 and over, these men were pentioners) could come over and sit and play dominoes or cards and the cops couldn't come on private property! Black men do the street corner thing! We always said see three black me on a corner and the next thing you see is a cop!

Wow, it seems pretty rough over in those parts? Well its quite to opposite over here.
Anyway, is everyone like living on top of each other in America? Because Sydney has like 3 million people living it and somehwere like San Francisco has like 15 million but in the same area as Sydney? get me?

Mostly the flashing lights come from the heliocopters flying over the city and environs. Ain't quiet below!

Mostly South Central is apartment houses or samll family homes and is pretty crowded.

San Francisco is also high density. The city is small because of the limited space (it is on a peninsula) and in some places where there is a lot of apartments it is high density and getting more crowded. But most of the areas have middle class and upper middleclass people in it. Poor don't do well, rent is higher than in LA which has more room to spread and go up.
