it's called an avatar and i believe you're eligible to get one at 50 posts...once you get there just look in your profile and change profile and follow the prompts from there...i think there is a thread over in the ascifi part of the forum that explains them more completely.
you can choose from the ones provided or upload your own, it just has to be 50x50 pixels or smaller

I sure hope they do decide to continue the show for at least a few more seansons. I agree that this show is unlike so many in oh so many ways. Charectors can be replaced, but this group has such a great relationship that it would make things different. That could be good or bad. I really don't want to see RDA leave the show or even scale down but it is understandable if he does. Why doesn't he just move his family closer so he can spend more time with them? Anyway, I onlu have SHOWTIME because of Stargate. It the show gets cancled, I will probably cancle my subscription because there really isn't enough there to spend the extra money on every month.

Cageybird: I too only subscribed to Showtime bec of Stargate. And I totally agree that without it, there is just not enough for me to keep Showtime. I can well use the $$$ for something else!

I would write to Showtime and tell them that... At least over here we get Trek / Stargate / Buffy / Roswell / Dark Angel etc.... all on one Channel. SKY ONE.... So it works out prety cheap to have it....

Have to go with opinion that Showtime doesn't care. Hey, their latest idea of excellent programming is a blonde woman in the buff on her belly on a revolving (what is that anyway, a carousel? Talk about a lazy Susan!) circle, while Chris Isaak (do like his music) asks her questions. Yah, I'm old, I don't get it anymore...

Yes, that's the new Chris Isaak show. And Showtime? Well, I don't know if they know who they are. Mostly they have movies, but there is soft porn sometimes, late at night, and they tout their own programs as new and original but all they means is that their shows have lots of the deed and talking about the deed and revolving around the deed. We are not impressed.

Come to think about it even more, it sure drives home the point for me that Stargate really is the best thing on Showtime.

I know of so many people who have said they are dumping showtime as soon as Stargate stops airing.......I only ever watched showtime for Stargate when I was over there.....

Showtime: soft porn and boxing. sex and violence. not as much soft porn is MoreMax (the companion channel to CineMax a.k.a. Skinnimax, Sin-a-max, etc)....but it does have Red Shoes Diaries, "hosted" by David Duchovny....<drool>

the sad truth is that fans rarely manage to keep a show on the air when the PTB want to get rid of it; and if they do it's usually for a few episodes only, or it gets shuffled around so you can never find it, or is constantly "on hiaitus" until it just vanishes. look at Roswell.

there are still people out there trying to get Prey back on the air. yeah, right, like Debra Messing is going to leave Will & Grace.

i'm philosophical. i don't want the show to end, but if it does, well, it does. i'll just be glad it existed and i got to enjoy it so much. there'll be other shows, there always are. and maybe, if they make a tv-movie, it'll be good, and earn money, and they'll make more. it worked for alien nation - that show lasted only 1 year; there was so much interest they made one movie, it got great ratings, so they made 3 more.
