i went ahead and sent a short note to the folks at mgm and showtime just to let them know how much i enjoy the show. it's literally the only thing i watch on tv. i'm sure there's lots of good shows out there but with my schedule i decided i'd better stick with just one.

I watch two. But Farscape comes on just before Showtime's SG-1 slot.

The way the SciFi Channel has treated the Farscape fans, I think it's a great idea that Stargate fans send Showtime emails, letting them know how popular the show is.

How do the SciFi channel treat Farscape fans? BTW, I heard a rumor ages ago that the SciFi channel might get rights to show Stargate. D'ya hear anything about that?!

No, but I would think that eventually SciFi would bid for such a popular series.

The SciFi Channel/Henson Pictures didn't show any new Farscape epys (to the US fans) for almost four months; they only showed 4 reruns during the month of November. No reasons given, and Farscape's time slot was replaced with lousy movie after lousy movie. I know it has been rated well, but you can tell that there are problems with the terrible scheduling - Canada has completely cancelled what has been called "a highly rated series."

If they did that to Stargate... Don't mind me, I'm just making a cartoon strip.

SciFi Channel in USA has an option for Stargate starting in 2002. I hope they treat Stargate better than Farscape. Farscape is still in production but the channel did not show all episodes of season 2 so there was about a three month gap between the end of the new episodes and the four part season ender. The suckers did not show repeats. They just put it on hiatus and the views screamed but Sci-Fi did not do a thing. They were just non-responsive.

There must be a series 6! How can they end it? From what I've heard of the S4 episodes, it's not just going strong through popularity, but the programme as a whole is good, really good. I was reading Amazon reviews of the latest videos, and oh my, do I WANT to see those episodes now!

Not to sound all clingy and whiney and pessimistic, but if MS doesn't want to do another series...

And if they keep killing off characters like they are/have in S4, then there won't be any left for the movie/future series'!

I've come up with another replacement for Michael Shanks should he decide not to re-up his contract (thus assuring I will be loved by all members represented in this post!). My first suggestion was to go back to the original actor from the movie, if possible. Another choice might be to hire the Angel of Death (nice fit, doncha think?) from Touched By An Angel. He looks like the other two actors, and has the right "attitude" for the part.

And I think they should do what they did when Shanks was hired for the t.v. show - ignore that there has been a change in actors for the part.

Just a thought. After all - if it's necessary to keep our favorite show going, do it!

I dont think I'd like the original actor, James Spader, back in the role...I've preffered MS since I saw the first episode..

Some shows can pull off an actor-change like that, but I think the on screen chemistry between the main 4 characters is so good, that a "different" Daniel would be very hard work to believe... lets just hope MS is on board..

I keep watching that in the hope of seeing Alexis Cruz, but no luck so far... Not that that has anything to do with this post. And this doesn't either, but ...

Well, I don't *know* if he does, but seeing as he said there wasn't gonna b a season 6, whereas the producers, writers hadn't said anything to that effect, then it seems an UNWANTED possibility.

another really annoying thing is Stargate will probably have finished by the time I'm old enough to go to any Gatecons, and I'll never got to meet JR
