her brohter mark lives in san diego. he has a son & daugher though we don't know thier names. the little girl looks to be 4-6, i'm a bad judge of ages. don't know about the sister in law...even her name or the kids' names.
in urgo she mentions an uncle irving who is something like urgo...i'm thinking a real smart @$$ who probably drove jacob nuts.
whenever i hear of uncle irving, anyone hear the dr. demento song about irving the 152nd fastest gun in the west...it's a stupid song but i can't stop associating him with the song

my opinion...

from the replies before me, you can definately tell who is male and who is female -- who else's "mind wonders" at what is in sam's appt?--

i think it'll be very clean - official maybe. With few flowers, she doesn't seem a very "girly" person

she is the sort of person to apologise for it being so messy, when it is like the tidiest office you've ever seen

she seems quite sentimental, so she will probably have dolls and action figures from her childhood that she doesn't have the heart to throw away

she may even have a photo of jack which she quickly hides when she walks in the room!!

i'd like to see a reference to "only tidy because i haven't been here much recently" or something like that (spends time at Jack's -- is you're slow on the hint uptake)

see i think it'd be sorta empty...there's no way she'd have all the stuff daniel has...can you imagine dusting all that stuff, from a man with allergies?
yeah, she'd apologize for it being a mess, she'd have plants but wouldnt' have replaced shcroedinger cuase it's easier not to have a pet...i mean does soemone watch over the apt & water her plants when she disappears for weeks on end?
i'm thinking an empty fridge and moderately full refirgerator...lots of non perishables.

She said that it was something that she had asked the writers....

"So, where does Sam live? And they just had these blank expressions on their faces..."

She said that she wanted Sam's place to be "funky" like a loft or somehing...and that it would be messy!

well according to rumors i've heard the third eps of season 5 will deal with sam's life, or lack thereof...and unless my rumor mills have gotten crossed, the third eps is called red sky...and it has thor in it....

i think messy, but not with old food and stuff. more like books off the shelves, things with no place to go. minimal furniture, pics of the family and the team maybe, carpeted, an overstuffed sofa or two, light coloured curtains to let sunlight in, tv and vcr with the remote control missing, if she has a cordless phone, it has to be missing, probably slid under the couch, plants -yes, animals-no, biker magazines strewn over the coffee table; kitchen-tiled, airy atmosphere, juice in the refrigerator, a cookbook or two, more plants, bedroom-clothes on the floor etc. but not too much, unmade bed, alarm clock going off from somewhere under the bed (you know the wierd hours she keeps)

I think her apartment would be kind of cluttered. She's hardly ever around, but when she is I think she'd want to relax, not spend a lot of time cleaning. Probably low maintenance plants, maybe recent pics of her brother and family since their reconciliation. Recent pics of Jacob, out of Tok'ra uniform. Pictures of SG-1, Janet & Cassie. No pets, since Schroedinger, too much trouble. A nice comfy sofa and recliner and a really great entertainment center w/DVD and stereo. Lot's of books, a supercomputer and magazines on bikes, astrophysics, mathematics etc.

majors make pretty good pay (for the military that is), plus combat pay....wonder if they get per diem for off -world travel? that $0.27/mile could really add up when your travelling 10,000 light years....

i wonder, given the inherent dangers to gate travel, would they be on combat pay all the time or only when folks are shooting at them?

do they do the purple heart for peacetime? wonder what the code is for 'i was invaded by an alien and killed by my co'


looking back when she got invaded by jolinar the ashrak practically killed her, when she got invaded by the entity, jack did kill her...third time's a charm...she better watch out :erm:
