it's strange, at the official mgm stargate site he is listed as jonathon but in "entity" he's john. wonder which one is the blooper?

Hi I'm new to this site and I thought I might get in on the act of Jacks past. Did't he join as a teenager and became a member of the Special Forces, so I'm sure he would have been involved in some pretty serious scrapes. In some info bits his name is listed as Jonathan, but I have never seen anything about his DOB anybody have any ideas.

I think, (hopefully not bursting anyone's bubble here!) considering RDA's age (51) Jack's age has gotta be similar. And BTW, 4 the record, I do NOT want this 2 happen, but shouldn't he retire soon?

Jack's age

I make Jack about 47yrs old. In the episode 1969 he was talking about a particular car he loved in that era and in the States you can drive at 16. So if we assume he was driving then his DOB would be 1953. Also in that episode I got the feeling he went to the war in Vietnam and he would have had to be 18 before 1972 to be drafted.

In 1969 daniel said that he was 5 1/2yrs old in that year which makes him 36 1/2. which makes sense. Carter's meant to be somewhere in between dan and jack and teal'c is 101!

Yeah, but that's a bit dodgy 'cos I'm sure in one eps, in about S2, Teal'c said he was 70, then all of a sudden, he's 101.

In the first season, the episode Brief Candle, doesn't Jack give his age as 40? That would make him about 44 or 45.

If you 'back engineer' through his military career [what's he'd have to be to what rank when, etc] that works out about right.

Hello to all u peeps wantin' 2 find out about jack's past.
we heard that he was a drug addict in his teens, let's face it, it's believable! don't u's remember that he made a referrence to this in an ep in series 2, when daniel got addicted to the sarcophagus. it was somethin' like, "i know how u feel."

Yes, his general talk about drugs and his comment about one being like a flash back to the 70's would seem to document that... or at least he knew users. I think it was more like experimented... rather that being addicted ... but we'll eventually find out more I think in Season 5. But maybe the writers will just hint at the
use. At least he seems honest about it and not like some politicians that said they didn't inhale!

Season 5 hints said they might look at Jack's teen years!

But I have been waiting to see if Carter really had an apartment as we know she doesn't have a life!

Hitting on Jacks teenage years, I think we should see how he got into the airforce.

Looking back to 1969 like the rest of you, it does make you think that Jack was it vitnam at 18.

I also think we should get a look at his family life.
Was he close to his Mum and Dad are the still alive that sort of thing.

anywayz, never mind jack's past, whatever happened to that annoying little Cadet Hallie? And what are they going to do with jack's future with carter? it's really wrecking my head the way that nothing ever (and probs. won't) happen.

whatever happened to jack's wife anywayz. did he just leave her at that hospital in series 1, and what happened to all his other wives, (I worry about him. the youngest girl he was with was 31 days old!:kisses: ), especially that Lara. Do they have a kid now or wot?
