Iris response time

LOL! gosh this thread has really gone of coarse .
But back to the subject i think why they can sit around and decide is because it takes a while to travel through the gate. If you ever watched the Movie or COTG (and maybe some others) they show the whole ride and it takes quite a while.

I also remember that in the beginnning, they used to get frosty when they travelled through the gate, but these days that bit has been forgotten

they might get a response back to their iris code device thingy.

if they don't perhaps people do get splattered against the iris, but we just don't hear about it

yeah they could get a response from the IDC device, but I've never noticed that....perhaps sam will explain it to us one day
