Highlander

i know the feeling -- i don't always remember everything either - but i DO remember the attractive actors/characters ---

i actually haven't watched the movie in a while --- but - since i've seen in oh - 100 x's -- i know it pretty well ---- (can't quote it like i can some scenes from the Princess Bride, but that's okay) --

however, one of my fave scenes from the movie is when Brenda walks into the 'special' room (the one that's a circle) and walks around - just b4 Connor tells her that he's immortal --- love that scene!

yeah i i know the one you mean...he is soo intense in that scene! his eyes are penetrating at the best of times ;)

oh -yes --- Chris is wonderful!!

hey -- go vote in the mini-forum poll -- i wanna know if there's enough interest to start one --- or if we even need much interest to get one started --

i know markpud would -- and me, and you - and a couple others - but we need to attract some ppl ---------

ok, good idea, i'm on my way! :D

oh, BTW, did you see Christopher Lambert on ...oops, where you from H2? Cos if you're not from the UK you won't know what i'm talking about! lol ;) It was a show called "So Graham Norton", he was sooo funny, i've never seen him so natural like that. :D

the mini-forum poll is in this thread so you don't spend lots o' time looking for it ---

and i'm in the US - so i probably won't see any of the stuff you get to see --

do you know how long it took for me to see "To Kill A Priest"? had to wait for the Bravo channel over here to air it --- eeek ---

no way! i can't believe that...so long, wow

yep -- i was really annoyed -- i couldn't find it in the video stores - nothing -- could have bought it - but wasn't sure i'd like it - so i didn't wanna do that - i have enough hideously horrible movies -- tho - To Kill A Priest wasn't a horrible movie -- it was quite good actually ---- so - i might buy it anyway ----

have fun!

oohh i'm not too late, please tell me your still talking
about chris..yum...peachy

of course we are, peachy!! we always talk about Monsieur Lambert in this thread! he IS the Highlander after all!! and, IMO, much more 'yummy' than his 'cousin' ---

hmmmm -- fave 'chris' scene --- it's in Highlander II (yeah yeah - groan all you want, but this is a great scene) -- right after he kills the 1st of the little 'alien' things w/ the rubber hoses for hair and that big semi-truck comes sliding toward him (the one w/ the big lips on it - it gives him a big 'kiss') -- then there's the big explosion -- Chris comes walking out of the wall of flame -- ooooohhhhhhh -- GREAT!!!! shot - great scene -- awesome all around!!!! love that shot!!

(okay - i'm done -- for now)

much preferred conner to duncan.
chris has such gorgous eyes he always looks so intense
i read somewhere that's because he's short sighted, and
can't see a thing with them off:D

i loved the bit in the 1st film when sean connery was in
the shop getting new clothes, and when the guy told him
how much it would be he gave him a pearl and asked if
that would do..
"that would do nicely" the shopkeeper said:D
...peachy

for one that was in the second movie, and for two, i'd prefer to talk about highlander then ummmm... how shall i put this. attraction. i'm male u c. not to be rude or any thing.
----------
What!? There's no pen there!

yes, peachy -- the clothing scene is in the 2nd movie --

and we can switch back to discussion of the movie ----- but - just beware, that many of the ppl who post here are female and will discuss their attractions --

however, we are quite capable of discussing the film itself --

what would you like to discuss regarding the film???

swords? fights? flashbacks? the Garden? pick a subject and we shall discuss until all avenues have been exhausted ---------

k, let's talk about swords.
kurgen-decent power, pathetic mustique
conner-ya gotta love his original broadsword
and of course, my personal favorite
Juan Sanchez Villa Loboz Ramirez, Chief Metelurgist to King Charles Fifth of Spain-gotta' love the Katana.
any arguments?

Kurgen -- hmm - well -- his sword was kinda cool - that whole - 3-pieces and such -- (tho there were really 2 swords - one that came apart and one that was a regular sword) -- but there wasn't really a story behind the sword -- why did he have THAT particular sword? where did it come from? backstory would have been nice --

Connor --- love the Clan MacLeod broadsword -- the thing is huge! tho not very practical for the type of fighting the immies have to do --- tho i suppose you could take someone's head from a little further away --

Juan ... Ramirez -- did ya know his name was diff in the 2nd movie? he was Juan Sanchez Villa Lobos Ramirez, Chief Metalurgist to King Phillip the 2nd of Spain -- think someone forgot to read up on their canon -- did they think the fans wouldn't notice?? -- but, back to swords -- the Masamune Katana - great piece - had a backstory and everything -- beautiful work of art!!

i have to stick to my opinion of the kurgen sucking i mean, look at it this way. good sword, terrible highlander sword.

well - the only part i thought was cool was that it came apart - but ya gotta wonder how practical that would be as a weapon --

and -- no - it's a horrible "highlander" sword --- add a backstory - and it might have some potential -- but as it is -- nope - - not so good -----

hey H2 you really know your stuff...peachy:D

i like swords and knives --- and i LOVE Highlander -- don't know if it's quite an obsession -- but definitely pretty close ----

Methos is my main character of focus - but we wouldn't even have Methos w/o the original -- Connor MacLeod -- the one and only, true highlander!!!!!!!!

and - i've seen the movie only about 200 times --- ;)
