OK i promised that i would create a new thread for anyone who feels that jack always gets the better lines, and always seems to be the most important, the one who suffers more than the others....etc..

But i decided that the thread would be more about what you hate about all characters (that's to say the main ones).
personnaly, jack annoyes me, because he's always presented as "the kind and sarcastic colonel who lost his son but who keeps living.. blah... he is strong..blah..he's got a great sense of humor...blah, he is the most intersting...pfiou..
exemples? "window of opportunity, show and tell, learning curve, cold lazarus, and most of all, tin man ( as if he was the only one to suffer..as if his life was more important "have a good life yadda..pfff, and the others just smile and watch them go, but HE is the one who feels like "someone stole my life...)

he is always the one who plays the good guy, i sometime feel that HE is the star and that the others are only secondary roles, like furnitures...

RDA WE UNDERSTAND YOU'RE THE STAR BUT WE ARE GEGINNING TO KNOW YOUR CHARACTER QUITE FINE BY NOW SO PLEEEEASE!! YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE IN THE DAMN TEAM!!!!

that's true, daniel lost his wife and parents, sam lost her mother, and i'm sure everyne has a sense of humor, so why only show o'neill's?

no offence meant here, but if you hate RDA and the character of Jack so much..WHY DO YOU WATCH THE SHOW???????

ok, just to clarify : i don't hate jack and rda, i wrote the last post on a very bad day, i hated everything and everyone... in fact, i like jack, i just sometime feel that he's the hero and that the others are nothing.
but when i see that you're "jack's biggest fan" i don't exept you to feel the same...

anyway, i knew damn well that no one would answer my thread, i just wanted to know if someone somewhere was not so engrossed in his character..

and the thread should have been named "what you think is annoying in stargate", that's what you gotta answer now, that is if you go as far as not liking something in this sooooooooooo good show...

what i hate about the show is...it aint on long enough,
i hate waiting for the start of new seasons...peachy:D
 
i think jack gets all the good lines because hes like the co producer and the main character of the series.
 
i think it's more likely to be no one can do sarcasm like jack can, he's a natural:D ...peachy:D

I think that has more to do with the character that he is portraying....can you really see Sam, Teal'c or Daniel saying things like that?? and before anyone says anything about series jack being so totally different from the movie jack - would you have watched the series so long if he had been that miserable and suicidal all the way through the last 4 seasons......

Plus thats the kinda humor RDA has.....

i think i'm gonna hate the fact that john de lancie is only going to be in 2 eps cause if he's half as sarcastic as he was as q he's gonna be a scream!
 
hmmm ... what do I 'hate' about Jack ... well it would moreso have to be what do I 'hate' about myself ... in the wink of a eye, why can't I transcend my being into a two dimensional character in the SG-1 influenced universe, working days at the local Starbucks, the one that Jack stops in on his way to work everymorning, for his espresso kicked coffee ... and then evenings work at the local tavern Jack happens to visit on his nights off ... :cool:

but seriously ... LOL ... ;)

what I do 'hate' is Showtime and MGM's lack of any kind of positive promotion of the series ...

and that TR has still not got opening credits ...

and we've never seen Jack's goa'uld penetration scar ...

I could go on, but negativism is counter productive :)

I have to admit...that really bugs me....I personally think MGM have forgotten that they have a website...its the official one and I don't think they have done anything to it since early last year....

yeah, sometimes jack can really bug me! Like when he does that annoying "Fatherly" smile at the end of broca devide. But thats just me moaning - its a great show, and it is sooooooooo adictive!!!!!!

Anyways, even though this has got nothin to do with anythin, I would just like to say Hathor should come back coz shes fab. Shes fab coz shes sooooooo funny, I was just wacthin hathor the ep and that hair is side-splittin, its gotta be a wig! Also "U would be wise to unbind us and kneel before your godess" gets me every time!
I went off the topic there a little bit - sorry, I tend to do that. It also annoys me the way Daniel was supposed to be dead sad about Sharee (I dont know how to spell it) dieing then had an affair a couple of eps later!

Anyway I just wanted to say that, sorry for rambling on a bit.

Anywayz, I also agree the most annoyin' thing is that nothin' has been done to update all the websites, and waiting for new eps. I am going to go mad!!! It ain't fair, 'cos in america, they get the new eps way before us in england do. :angryfire

I bet that they will bring Hathor back one of these days, wot with goa'ulds never properly dyin' and all. Apophis has been dead like about a zilloin times and has come back to life! I've also lost count of how many times Daniel has died...

Is anyone else actually starting to find all jack's annoying, sarcastic remarks and stuff really funny, or am I on my own here?....
 
i too wanna see his scar...so i can kiss it and make it all better....:upto:

me for one have never found Jack's sarcasm annoying....I love it, its great, he makes me laugh SOOOO much!!
