The writers have been getting better about this and I know that the show would never be the same if Jack didn't get great one liners... but Come On Writers.....Lets get some more for Sam, Daniel, Hammond, Janet and especially the T-Man! I can here the T-Man saying, "O'Neill look scary and cover our six." in a shopping mall!

I agree, skydiver.... and not just smart jokes, but smart in general. O'Neil's no dummy, he really does understand all that "science stuff"; I just wish they'd show his brains more often. The only part of Entity I didn't care for was when Jack was interacting with the camera the Entity was controlling and he said "do I look fat". I thought that was way below par for him.

Yeh sometimes his jokes dont fit into the sentences and sound too... manufactured, if you get wot I mean. However this doesnt matter coz most of his jokes are brill! Like in the first part of the sohcah double ep - Apophis:Who R U?

Hey, here is a contreversial (I know, I cant spell - and thats the way I like it! In other words I cant be bothered looking it up! LOL!) question, who plays a better Daniel, James Spader or MS? I think MS, and hes better looking - wot d'you think?

Alrighty, first of all i love all the characters and the show (of course).
I love jack, although some of his lines are below him or a little mean - like that one in broca divide where he's shaming out carter.

i remember reading somewhere that one of the reasons RDA decided to do Stargate was because it wasn't dead serious and 24/7 he was playing this colonel that was by the book:clown:

i hate it how carter is..so by the book... i though maybe she could get a bad word in there somewhere, just once.

i hate how teal'c is so straight faced all the time but he's slowly breaking that mould so ignore that little bit.

just to add, i like the tension between sam and jack ( for those who don't know i'm a huge sj shipper) and i love the way MS has gotten so cute over the years

Personally I think teal'c has had to loosen up abit for medicle reasons. Imagine coming home from a long days filming having spent the whole day pulling that face:angry: ,It cant be good for you!!!!

D'you think daniel knows about the sam/Jack thing coz its really hard to tell. Teal'c does, and doc Fraiser does but wot about "Danny Boy".

Also dont you reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaly hate the way cassandra is meant to be like 13 and she finger paints rubbish drawings of rainbows ect and its all "her teacher says she has talent". I know 9 year olds who could do better, also that girl who helped teal'c when he was turning into a giant moth was meant to be 14 and she acted about 10 years older!!! I just think its stereotypical and unrealistic!!! Anyway I'm probs on my own on this one but who cares.

ya know, there is one thing i don't understand....
i'm a sarcastic sh*t myself, or anyway i was, and believe me when i tell you that no one (and i insist on the no one part) likes it... at the beginning of the school year i had plenty of friends, but strange as it may sound, the "ya think" and the "i'll talk about it to my horse" kind of remark made them all go away... i even manage to make someone cry (my mom as a matter of fact, and my ex best friend.....sorry). now i calm down a bit, and i have more friends. but of course, when jack swaps sarcasms at "his friends", they don't seem to mind it a lot... and everybody knows that sarcasms are not often meant to be kind, especially directed to friends..
so i was just wondering...why???

anyway, someone here said that sam was more "by the book" than jack, the same jack who's ready to break any rule but THE rule (you see what i mean... no? just talking about the frat rule ya know..)
any ideas about that?

finally, i'm very glad someone answered my thread.
this is bizare, as soon as i said that i liked jack, everybody found it interesting...or maybe less offensive, right miss jack's biggest fan?.. you know there are pills against addiction, so stay on earth!!!!

Yeah?? Really?? But then where would be the fun in taking the pills??

I also think that some people can take sarcasm too far into the realm of being just plain nasty...I don't think Jack does this....

i also think that rda has the most eatable butt i've ever seen....
anyway, even when i use sarcasms like jack does, people still take it the wrong way, exept when i talk about people no one like (when i tell a friend about bill clinton or my history teacher).
when i talk sarcasm with my friends they don't usually like it, even when it's not mean and plain nasty...

That wasn't a dig at you....I meant in general...I know people who think they are being sarcastic and are just rude or nasty or both.....

there is a small line between being mean and being sarcastic, sometime it's hard to tell the difference (who said i sounded like a philosophy book!!!??)

i think there are 2 sorts of sarcasm : this one :angryfire

which is usually mean, directed to people you don't like a lot, or a friend who just made you lost it

and this one :rolly2: which is a "good" sarcasm, ionic but not mean

i think jack is definitively a :rolly2: kind of sarcastic guy, i think he is even softer than that; in fact, i think it's the kind of sacasms everybody uses (more or less)

Ol' George isn't stupid. And he won't jeopardize his flagship team. But I think Carter is the reluctant one....and nothing has happened so George can not act where nothing has occurred...
