i never saw season 1. before my time. but i definetely think the 2 best seasons were season 2 and 3. 4&5 really didn't do much for me.

the box design is pretty much the same as teh S2 box, with a pull-out book containing all the disks and the info pages... The design is quite nice, with a nice photo of S3 style Buffy on the front and back of hte box.
