Of course, my question implies human hosts. It is entirely possible there ARE races who CAN equal or even overcome on a regular/permanent basis the mind of the symbiote. Imagine a symbiote in an Asgard body...

However, based on a related issue (effectively) in "Dead Man's Switch" I would imagine such a race would be wiped out by the Goa'uld (or the attempt made).
