I just read on another thread that Stargate is finishing after season5 & the movie! Can NE tell that it ain't true.........please........:crying:

Serena.......calm down! As far as I am aware there has been no official confirmation of this. I get so cross with people on these threads, they say things and don't back them up with facts. It's all supposition. And the only reason they do it is to make themselves seem special somehow.

The only people who know the fate of the series are MGM and the Stargate production people.

I wish folk would state when they post these things that the information is unsupported by an official announcement, and if they DO by some freak of fate have inside information, then they should quote their sources.

It gets me so mad!!! If it does end then fair enough, but it's not over till the fat lady sings and I haven't even STARTED singing yet!

we should send some sort of petition to the makers of Stargate, MGM, Showtime and all the others to secure the 6th and 7th season

i know this has been done b4, but as they're filming season5 at the moment it might actually stand a chance cos it'll give them a chance to adjust the episodes to fit the new season ie.cliffhangers

Kelsi, I think you might be referring to the March 17 news item, in which Starguide says that Variety had listed Stargate as a casualty ...... But if I recall, there was no official word from MGM, Showtime, or the Stargate production people, and Joseph Mallozzi appeared on some chat line and said that he knew nothing about it either. He also pointed out that the Stargate production people would be the first to know. There has been nothing on any of this since. Except for Season 5 hints.

Variety is not the oracle on these things... they tend to print whatever they want, whenever they want. But who knows? Maybe Season 5 IS the last season. The world of TV and film entertainment is a very transient one, which might be why so many actors still only rate being in the 'legitimate theatre'. That's been going for a few centuries and still has considerable appeal and support?

Ok, I'm new here...ignore that fact.

But I think if they finish the show off, they do it in a tasteful, entertaining way. It's people that don't wan't the show to end because their "addicted" that mad the last couple seasons of the X-Files so saddening.

If the movie is the last of the StarGate saga, I hope it's gonna be damned good. And who knows, maybe they're planning to spawn it into new storys and such, and not give all attintion to SG1.

Not to say I'm not one of the biggest fans, but I'd rather have my favorite show end good, then go on and become (gasp) bad....

Oh well......it's late and I haven't read all the threads.....so I'm probably behind on alot of crap...It's also real late, and I'm a bit tierd.....and....*trails of into constent mummbling...*

I reckon that they'll probably do a sixth series, its a really good show and probbably gets tonnes of ratings, if they do say it's not gonna happen, we can all barge into their headquarters, while they're filming an episode, and scare them into doing another series

If I've said it once, I've said it....alot.....When they stop Stargate, it'd better be a BRILLIANT ending. And that film'd better be good also.
