Stargate "Save Season 6 Threads"

aaarrrgggghhh

nervous already.....

wednesday, that's not long........

:alienooh: :alienooh:

if we lose, we will make them wish they were neva born...

or at least wish they neva said no...

We WON'T lose if they know what's good for em! :fangs: :angryfire
Someone at Wolfden had a good idea. Send an empty box of kleenex tissues with "send more" and "SOS: Save Our Stargate!" written in marker to MGM and Showtime. Will this be taken seriously? Can we send postcards, too?

um season six? anyone?

I know you are probably all bored to tears with people going on about season six, and whether it will or won't happen....

what I don't get it why there is such a big dilemma over a new season or not - RDA is evidently on board, so is CJ now, whats the big deal? MGM is sitting with one of their highest rated shows, certainly their highest rated (or is that only?) scifi show. There is without a doubt a plethora of new directions or ideas the show could follow, rather than tired old spaceship-based trek.

Don't get me wrong I have high hopes for trek series 5 (hopefully Scott Bakula will be great), but I can't see how they can really come up with anything that's remotely new, mind you its not as if SG is totally original either, but its a bit fresher, and its probably the only scifi on british telly at the moment that makes me think "i wish I could do that"

Anyway, if anyone hears whether its been renewed, please post cos its driving me crazy waiting to know, and since I have only got into the show since getting cable (and therefore scifi-friendly Sky One) last year I would be well annoyed if they cancelled it just as I was beginning to love it

cheers

thanks for the info rowan (and the speedy "woof") reply

I have already done the email mgm thing, and I was under the impression that we would find out this week, but then I suppose it's hardly news-at-ten material...

oh well fingers crossed anyway

"News at Ten"

I agree. I don't think MGM was quite prepaired for RDA to make that statement on a live chat and with the mail starting to come in, I'm hoping they're taking a *real* good look at things.

I think the reluctance is on Showtime's part and on MGM's part. Neigher promote the show very well.

All we need is concrete evidence either way to set us all up crying or cheering. Even if they give a negative result, will it go any way to stem the apperantly huge amount of E-mails and other contacts MGM seem to of been getting.
The show isn't over until the fat lady sings people. And that isn't anything personal on MGM's part ;) (Suppose I could put 'lion roars' )

I second that one I just wish they would let us all know one way or another.
I have been checking the MGM offical web site for Stargate every day and nothing (though they never up date it either)
I check starguide every chance I can with my fingers crossed that there will some news and there is nothing.:(
So still waiting.......

As in its MGM who decide whether to stop it or not. As in 'the fat lady' ending it all. Kind of suggesting that MGM takes the place of 'the fat lady'.
Maybe it's not fair me blaming MGM, so I'll stop.

'Kay so that makes no sense. Ignore my whole previous post, I think I was tired/stressed/both. And therefore not concentrating.
