This is really sad. I brought a magazine yesterday that was $19 just because it had a six page interview with Michael Greenberg and a few pics from s4.
I need help!

Nononononono, I've got a sadder example of being a stargate fan........

Before I went to America last year, I arranged for Galaxy Bookshop in Sydney to send me a copy of the TV Zone Special Issue on Stargate as it looked like it was going to come in while I was away. I'd driven them mad, I think, ringing them up asking when it would be coming in, if ever.

When I was in Quebec in Canada, I found it at a newsagent (at $CA9.99, about $12.00 Aus) and, worried that Galaxy wouldn't get it in, bought it. Well, I got to drool over it while I was away.

Anyway, when I got home a month later, there was the copy from Galaxy, which they'd posted out. With the Aus dollar and postage, it cost about $23.00 or so.

So, I have two copies. One which is very looked at (with drool marks on the piccies of RDA ) and one which only came out of the envelope once and which is pristine condition.

That's manic fandom

well i have spent over $2000 on stargate DVD's ( i have all the ones released in australai, Videos (i have recorded copies off television, and all the official ones released in australia), official autographed photo's (over $300 worth), soon ... official trading card sets, posters, magnets, jaffa emblem transfers, magazines, etc.
i have SOOOOOOO much stargate stuff. oh, and i have the cd's (movie and series cd soundtracks) on lay-buy.

can anybody beat this????

The piccies were worth it though. I'm glad I bought it now. And thanks to you lot, I don't feel guilty anymore.

Your so lucky to have all that Stargate stuff JAD. Where have you gotten it all?
They hardly sell any stuff in Canberra. It sucks!

Sounds like my younger 'Star Wars' days... But most of that has been lost/stolen/borrowed/destroyed over the years, and only a few prize items remain.

Currently, I only have about 20 video's (still waiting to buy a DVD player.. then WATCH OUT !), I have the full collector card set (including 2 packs of the 2000 pack limited edition), a couple of magazines and a poster or two.

Almost forgot the CD case that I got for my birthday, and that really cool calculator that came in the BOBW pack.

in all i have 21 bought vids (season one and three) all of season two and four taped off the tv, the original movie video(bough in 1994), the movie novel, the movie jumior novelisation, the movie soundtrack, trading cards, magazines, the four SG-1 books by Ashley McConnell, statues of Anubis and Horus and lots more.

I got the patch from one of the dealers at BOBW. It cost me $40, but I thought that it was worth it since I really really wanted it.

Teal'c,
where did you get the books? I haven't come across them in Australia. I know Marty has one but I haven't heard anything about them from anyone else.

I got the books form bookstores like James Thin/Waterstones/Ottakers. I don't know if the shops are in Australia though. The books are quite good.

You could try www.amazon.com or some websites like that to get them

Man, I was happy with what I have, now Im jealous of everyone else..
I have 26 videos, 1 dvd (how sad), trading cards, a Jack O'Neill costume card, the Retaliation and Retribution books, and Im getting a Ra figure and the Stargate Special Edition dvd soon...

If anyone is wanting to sell any of their stuff, Im willing to buy!!!!

$2000????? Josh, i nearly have everything you have (cept 3 dvd's) and i haven't spent over $1000.....
