coffee!!!!!
you bad girl......

ok, slight change of topic before padders waunders in here and screams at us...

question for a fic...and not THAT one. let's say early season 1 sam was going to show teal'c a movie...what would she choose?

action, romance(i think not...it's hard with a guy you barely know to show him a love scene), comedy....what?

any suggestions?

She can show him back to back episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer....... it has action, pretty women, romance and sex....!!! He'll understand SOME aspect of it at some stage!!! However if it were me, I'd show him something like Men in Black or Evolution, or even Lara Croft Tombraider! It wouldn't do too much for romance, but he'd get a kick out of the action and Lara Croft and her impossible pair!!!

And all you need to do Skydiver is picture yourself and the person YOU have the hots for, decide what it is you would want to happen and then change the names to the subjects.

The Cronoses tell me that actions speak louder than words any day!

thanks anni, men in black's a good idea. i haven't seen the other two. and they wouldn't have existed 5 years ago.

i'd thought that or top gun...or wizard of oz....i dunno

I loved MIB but it is very culturally loaded...every two minutes she would have to stop and explain something to him... Can you imagine explaining the double ended joke about the illegal aliens....(I am now doubling over in laughter thinking about that joke and Sam haveing to explain it to him!)

T-Man has seen 'Star Wars' nine times..... (Ascension)
What about Godzilla? I do like John Wayne's The Shootist, The Man who Shot Liberty Valence, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, The Searchers.... Or Broken Arrow with James Stewart or My Darling Clemintine with Henry Fonda if you want to introduce him to Western Culture....

You could also try him with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels...... give him an aspect of British culture too.... or even Indiana Jones......

;)

if it was close to christmas time i could have her introduce him to white christmas...my all time fav.
or the ten commandments(i'm a sucker for old epic films...i adore the costumes.)
there's an idea, he could start reading the bible after watching a movie?

If introducing him to western culture through films....the best would be (in my opion) Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson and "West World" with Yul Brenner. Those were no nonsense cowboys, but if you want to get ethnic on him give him the true cowboys from "Posse".
