Should we be concerned shippers?

Hi.

I love Stargate SG-1 and i love the relationship between Sam and Jack. I have all the dvd's aswell. The only thing was concerned about was the fact that Ammanda Tapping said, and i quote ; "They should NEVER be together" but lator on RDA was joking around and said he diddnt want it to dissapear and says; "you'll have to tune in next time (with lol)" should we be concerned?

Well, we know that they can never be together as long as they're in the SGC together. They're meant to be together 1FD...one fine day, but not in any of the Stargate shows I'm sure.

I think AT, RDA and the writers/producers like to tease us.

Sam and Jack have an attraction to each other, but I don't think a relationship between they could withstand time.
Then again, opposites attract...

If they were to get together, I think it would have to be at the end of Stargate.
For us "shippers" out there, we'll have to make do with "window of opportunity" and "alternate reality" episodes to see anything other than "friends" between Sam and Jack.

I'm so not a shipper (sorry, I just don't see any real chemistry between Jack and Sam...), but even if I were, I don't think it would be a good idea to get them together in canon.

IMHO, if you want romance, watch a soap opera.

i totally agree with u nic. it would have to be at the end of stargate. i think it would be a really nice ending. just like Moulder and Scully did in x-files. The last scene they kissed. :blush: awwwwwwwwwwwwww:blush:

I watched the x-files finale today! It was GREAT!! Now that's the x-files I love!

All I see is two attractive people, not two attracted people.

Can't explain it. It's like when one of my married friends has a single guy that would be just 'PERFECT' for me...but really, the only thing the guy and I have in common is that we're both single. Really can't base a relationship on that!

Now, just 'cause I'm not a shipper doesn't mean that I'm anti-shipper. To each his/her own, but it still shouldn't be the ultimate drive of the show. (again, IMHO)

my opinion: no matter what i feel i think they will end up together.

in a recent interview rda said something to the effect that they were waiting to see if there was a season 6 before they did anything with sam & jack. this suggests to me that they will get together in the end, but they want it to be 'natural' and so need to know if it has to happed at the end of season 5 or can be drawn out 22 more episodes.

my ideal ending:

danny just zats apophis into oblivion(i DO NOT want this sucker coming back to life any more). Teal'c is going back to Chulak to lead his people, leaving sam, jack and danny at loose ends. Jack looks to sam, asks her if she wants to go fishing now. She looks back and says sure, that sounds like fun...and we fade to black.

and please remember....everyone is entitled to their opinion and none of them are right or wrong.
i've seen this topic descend into sheer nastiness so please, feel free to debate just don't get all mad about it ok?

With this I agree but I do like the whole Sam and Jack thing but the best bit I think is the will they won't they part of it all.
I think that Sam and Jack can only be together if the show ends and I don't want that:dead:

But like Buttercup said I don't want the Sam/Jack thing to be the main focus of the show but thats just my view

You can tell how deeply Jack feels for Sam...not just on a sexual level, in Divide & Conquer & how they litterally have to break him down to get him to admit it...I don't know, I think that was just a powerful & moving sceen. He litterally waits to the last possible moment when it becomes evident to him that he has to finally say it to prove he's not a zaytark (or however you want to spell it).

Here's an observation:

I can totally see that Jack has feelings for Sam, it's pretty obvious (D&C, WofO, and even a little bit in ITLOD), but I don't really see much from Sam's side (except that look at the end of POV and some parts of 100 Days).
What do you guys think?

Hmm,
Also in D&C we only got to see Jack confess his feelings.
Sam's turn on the "liar detector" thing was either never written or it was left on the cuting room floor.

When she realized they were in serious trouble. There was a closeup on her face as she listened to the sound of her voice. For a moment it wasn't just Sam the major.

Of course I could be just imagining things. I do that a lot.
