And I see the vast majority would like to return to the stars. Good choice! :D

Yeah! It's just sad the writers/executive producers/etc. didn't listen to the fans and the show went in the direction it did after season three...:(

What do you mean, summer? I doubt all the fan sagreed, but what point of view are you talking about that was the majority?

I'm talking about the 'Back to the roots'-Group.
I'd like to see them going back to exploring the universe, meeting new interesting cultures and that kinda stuff. It was the reason they had an anthropologist/linguist on the team in the first place...
Oh, and I didn't say the majority belongs to this group although I'm pretty sure from what I've read on the net...
This is just a personal opinion...

No problem, you had me worried for some time...:D
Don't wanna cause major discussions here...:D :D

I thought they had "an anthropologist/linguist " on the team because Danny insisted on it so he could look for his wife...

I think that was just one of the reasons Skoon.....it wouldn't have been enough reason to justify the government allowing a civilian to travel into what could be dangerous territory.

However, at the risk of repeating myself, I have said all along and from the very beginning of posting on these forums, that I believed that the show had veered away too much from the original concept. They have just been doing reruns on Sky One and although it's true that SG1 still travel through the gate as do the other teams, it's more implied than actually shown. I have been deliberately watching and the actual visits through the gate and discovering other worlds and/or coming up against the Goa'uld has definitely been less in the last two seasons than it was in the first three. Instead, we have had glimpses and inferences, but in the main the action has always centred around SGC or SG1. I guess the two parter Summit/Last Stand, The Warrior were the first times in a long time where they actually introduced new Goa'uld or even attempted to flesh out that side of the story.

Sad that they had to wait until the last season to consider drawing back the Goa'uld into the story in any sort of depth.

Oh well.....

I guess I'll just have to write my own darn stories!

 :D ;)

lol, yes Anni, how are you stories coming along?? ;)

Maybe they just wanted to try a slightly different approach... they've done it in filming (they've used loads of different producers and ways of filming and so on), I guess it just wasn't as successful ... I'm sure some people like it though...
