Glasses or no Glasses??

Yeah I do agree with you Webmouse...in Legacy he did say that he could not see too well as they had taken his glasses away from him!

I think that in the start of Stargate SG1 they tried to keep Daniel as true to the character of the film which ment keeping his hair long and wearing glasses all the time...

Towards the end of season three and on wards this didn't seem to matter much anymore...short hair and sometime no glasses!

BTW: Being left handed myself I always take note on weather people are left or right handed...Im weird that way..LOL

I just watched the film again and noticed that Spader's character simply wears the glasses -- no mention of vision problems in particular, nothing much comes up about the glasses at all. They're just there.

Yeah, but I guess because he just wore them all the time that point didn't need any explanations at all. They just fitted the stereotype. If he'd ever put them away to read the inscriptions on the walls in the cave Sha're showed him, for example, he maybe would've had to explain why. And we only saw him for two hours. There simply was no reason for him to put them away. It's harder to decide if Daniel should wear them in the series. As you said they could become a hindrance in fighting scenes and battles. Sometimes he even has them on the top of his head although he is reading something (the fifth race). That kind of inconsistencies lead the viewer to speculate why Daniel needs them in one scenes and doesn't seem to need them at all in another...:D

LOL, but I guess you're right about this, Pamie. He didn't seem to need them very much in season five. :D

I wonder why....LOL
Haven't seen Abyss so far...I'm still waiting to download the episode...:(

Nah Im sure he doesn't need them...LOL

Yeah even Im thinking of downloading that episode! :D
