If I know my Mutant X stuff ( and my knowledge is frequently questionable ;) ) He has a nasty immune deficiency due to an accident, for which he blames Adam. He needs to seal himself up with this clear, prosthetic skin junk to keep himself safe from sickness. <<cowers, bites her fingernails and awaits judgement>>
 
Other than the fact that he is forced to be in a insulated, impermeable, artificial skin becuse of failed experiment?
