Reflections and Comments on AoTC.

Went to see this at the cinema a couple of weeks ago. Found it very good, Yoda was sooooooooooo cool. Look at him go!!!

Thought Anakin looked as tho he was turning to the dark side quite early on, especially after what happened to his mum.

But all in all thoroughly enjoyed it.

lol!! :D

I heard someone say there wasn't enough action in it.

I thought Anakin/Obi-Wan was played well. Did you watch how low Anakin bowed? Hardly at all. However, the Anakin/Padme thing made me want to hit him. Badly.

Yoda just rocked. He and Obi had some of the best lines.

The Jango/Boba thing was cool (aside from the whole "ewww-- dather's HEAD!" thing).

I liked the action. The yacky romance didn't do a thing for me and I thought it was just in there because it needed to be. But maybe that's just me.

I'm one of the most romantic/Shippy ppl i know, and even I cringed at some of the romance scenes (mainly cos of Hayden's acting in them). They did seem kind of forced now i think about it, and maybe they would have been better somehow if George Lucas had spent more time looking for an Anakin?

It was they way he'd come out with it that I just looked and went... erm, NO! Hello! If someone acted like that around ME!?!?! whether it was him or the script.... But to me his lines were just atrocious in places anyway.

Just... let me hit him ;)

And c'mon, Padme, liek you WEREN'T leading him on?

I don't think it was Hayden so much as it was the writing. SOme of those things he said had me literally saying you have got to be kidding me!

I just saw the movie for the 3rd time (on digital) and I still have to say "WOW!" I see more and more each time I see it. I LOVE it!

If I can find the time I may even go see it for a 4th time. But I notice in the papers that it is not playing at very many theaters anymore. But it is still playing at the digital theater about 30 minutes from me. I hope it will stay there for a long time, since it is the only digital screen on Long Island. And when I went a few weeks ago, the theater was pretty packed. That's a good sign.

there's so many other movies out right now that i need to see, i just can't afford to go see that one again.

I only (only!) saw it twice, the second time to take my newly converted SW fan along *g*. Its funny but a year ago I'd've looked at you like you were insane for saying I'd see something twice or even three times. But its a mark of a good film ;)

Wish I could see a digital version :(

this is one of those few movies that i wouldn't mind paying to see over and over again.

Well, I think I'm in the minority. I find it good but not an excellent movie. I totally have to agree with Yoda and Obi. For me they were great in this movie. Also love to see the Jango/Boba story because brings more story of the character of Boba Feth.

Also have to agree that I could do without all the Anakin and Padme romance story. For me it was the most boring part of the movie. Personally I think the best parts were the chase and Obi's adventures. Probably is they do the romance scenes not so long I would find it cool.

One of the best part was the battle at the end, totally love it. And Yoda's fighting wow!. He definitely rocked. In that sense this movie was way better than the other because it have more action.

Krystal :p

i think one of the things i liked best about this movie was the growing ominous feel it had to it. the music was brilliantly done. i love how when padme and anakin kiss it's all nice sweet music but it's still the vader march intertwined. i loved all the foreshadowing in it. it was so cool.

Been having a long hard think about this film, and I think I am going to be a little more negative than Krystal.

The film was Okay, not outstanding.

It was too 'compartmentalised', a bit of action, then off somewhere else for a cup of tea and cucumber sandwich, before doing some more running around.

The action scenes were good and I haven't seen stunts like Yoda's fight scene since Monkey Magic (pity it was CGI:)). But in a way they led to the films downfall in the nauseating romance scenes. The whole film stopped for them, yet they still felt 'rushed'.

I can see why they are there, trying to make us understand why Anakin crossed to the darkside, even sympathise. But I wonder if some of the scenes that were cut from the original and included in the DVD, might have made the point more clearly and formed a better continuation for the film?
