Are you ready for Gatecon?

Headed North ...

Okay, I'm headed out the door on my way to Vancouver, BC for a week for Gatecon. I'll be at the Best Western Richmond Inn [Jari James] and hope to check my mail a couple of times via an internet cafe near-by.

See you Monday the 15th.

Well peeps, I'm all packed and ready. Flight leaves in about 2 hrs and I'm already getting the pre-flight jitters! Should be arriving in Vancouver late afternoon/ early evening.

So it's a case of 'chevron seven locked' and I'll see you all on the other side. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces as well as some new ones.
 
It's taken me two hours to pack arg!! I'm leaving at 10pm, picking up a friend at midnight, getting to airport around 5am, catching flight at 8:45uk time and arriving at 12:30 midday. Cos of the time difference wednesday's gonna be 8 hours longer for me!!! It's worth it tho!! *does an irish jig*

well every one i was almost totaly ready for it, but i forgot to bring a camera:eek: but its ok i have a disposable one that i can use instead:) now to take the pictures for u all;)

Well, after a fun week with you all upthere.
and a very long bus ride I made it home.

I have soooooooooooo much fun Campers!!
I hope you all did too!!
Can't wait for July to do it all over agained!!!

It was just a very long very hot
and very cold right home Shelby!!
I mean the temp on the bus was either
very hot or it was as cold has a freezer.
and I think I made have gotten a cold from it too.
And then there were the very rude and weird people
that you meet on a bus and have to be stuck with
durning the ride.

Next year it's either train or plane.
I had it with busses.

I lost a whole day of site seeing because
the ride up made me sick to my stomoat,
and I ended up staying in bed almost the
first day I came up.

Sounds like you had the bus ride gave you the post-con crud shortea.

Yes, I am much better now thank you!!

Alittle tried still and my body is just
alittle acky from sitting for two days
on the bus. But I am much better
and no repeats of what happened
when I road up to bc.

But next year for sure plane
or train.
The only bus I want to be
on is the one for the city tour,
the Vancouver tranist buses,
& maybe the bus going
to the studio for another tour.
That's if there is one.

Methinks thou hast just nominated thyself to be the maker of the badges -

get started now and you might be done come July! ;)

Or - better yet - just make badges for members of the site in general - don't make them Gatecon specific - and ascifi'ers can wear them to all the conventions they visit and can identify each other all over the world -- ;)

I like the idea of generic vrs con-specific badges. Maybe we could award stick on 'stars' for each con survived or something... :D

hey, Tim, where'd you go? You kinda got yourself all volunteered to make these bad boys --- ;)

And if you need help - just ask around - ppl all over have made badges --

You might even poke padders in the shoulder and see how he feels about setting 'em up as a merch item for the site -- couple dollars for a little badge wouldn't be too bad - and if he were to sell a few hundred or so - even that much would help pay for running this place -- every penny is a value -- ;)
 
hey highlander 2 ur the supermod u talk to padders more then i see him, so why dont u;) but actually this sounds like a great idea, i think mabye we should propse it to padders, ill send a pm soon, and if padders says no go, then ill just make them myself:p:rolly2:
