As a member of a well-to-do and influential family, fifteen-year-old Fllay Allster is quite a popular girl among the schoolkids on Heliopolis; unfortunately for them, however, she's also already got a boyfriend: Ssigh Argyle.
Unlike Kira Yamato and several of their mutual friends, Fllay didn't escape Heliopolis aboard the Archangel. Instead, she left in one of the civilian escape pods, and her particular pod was later recovered by Kira and brought to the ship. There, she was reunited with her friends, but unlike them, she chose to remain a civilian in the residential block of the ship, rather than donning an Allied Forces uniform and helping out on the bridge like the others. It is not until she witnesses her father's death during a battle with ZAFT that she joins the Alliance.

Fllay has a fierce hatred for Coordinators, and it only gets worse after her father's death. She makes plenty of cruel comments toward Kira and accuses him of failing to protect her father's ship. However, as it turns out, Fllay's dark side goes deeper than simple prejudice. This scheming girl quickly comes around on Kira, but her change of heart is not genuine. After breaking off her relationship with Ssigh -- and let's just say she didn't exactly let him down gently -- she immediately sinks her teeth into Kira. Having become slightly unhinged after some devastating events, Kira is all too vulnerable to Fllay's manipulation and is used by her as her tool for killing the Coordinators who killed her father. What remains to be seen is whether Kira will catch on to her scheme or if he'll simply remain under her spell.
