Tickets for Gatecon2004 now available online.

Ticket Resale Information!

REMEMBER!

If you sell/trade/buy a ticket to Gatecon you have to do the following before July 1st so Richard can make the changes in the ticket database.

Both seller and buyer need to send Richard Pasco the following:
Full name
Email address
Mailing address
Type of ticket [superpass, tripass, daypass] and ticket number]

Yes, you can do it later, but please don't expect it to have been changed on the database and accept you might have to stand in line for a bit while we sort it all out.

When you pick up your ticket you will need to provide the follow:
* Something that shows your type of ticket and ticket number [like the confirmation email from Richard or a letter/email from the seller]
* A piece of official photo id so we can identify you. Driver's license, passport, student id - these are all one.

Without this, we have no way of knowing if you are the legitimate owner of the ticket. And if we don’t know, I’m going to have to manually go through our database and cross check. With over 700 folks coming, that could slow down your time at the desk.

So, remember: send Richard any changes with the ownership of the ticket ASAP and bring ID.

Oh, I almost forgot… come prepared to have a blast! :D

Hi, just a note that the numbers start at 100 not 1 so 319 isn't that bad. I've been in that range before and it's not a bad place to be. I've been in the 100's the past 2 years, that rocks. You just have to plan ahead and save up the money to buy your ticket either during the con or right after it. Thank God for credit cards!!!:D

Well, can't believe how close it is now. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again. Plus we'll get to see Chris, Amanda and Michael all together, how cool is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait. :rotate:

Later, Kim

How do you know that the ticket numbers start at 100? The reason I ask is this is my first ever Gatecon, and my ticket nrs are 98 and 99.

Elaine

Wow that's weird, they've always started at 100. Unless they changed it this year but that seems odd to me. I thought it was weird myself when I first found out that they did it that way, but then they said why but now I forget. Anyway, I've been to all the Gatecons and that's all I know. Maybe Allan or Richard can answer that question then. But when I got my ticket they had just gone online and I am #130. Did you buy yours online? Just wondering, some people buy theirs at Gatecon if they have them for sale and maybe those people get a lower number. Either way it's gonna be fun and there's gonna be lots of people there. Gotta run, Kim

Yep, I bought my tickets on line as well, it was pretty much as soon as they became available.

Elaine :p

Sorry, I must be a little dense tonight, does that mean that my tickets will be numbers 198 and 199, or something totally different? And if it's totally different, what's the point of your numbers being e-mailed to you before the con?

Elaine :D

Oops!!

Elainec, I am *so sorry*! I made a massive typo.

Ticket numbers start at *001*, not 100.

I messed up.

Rowan

Hey, we're all entitled to make them!

Thanks for letting me know - see you in a couple of weeks.

Elaine :rolly2:

is what somebody knows how much one will be on the whole in this convention?

500 ? 700 ? 800 ?

Rough numbers

Okay, I know we have at least 500 Superpass tickets alone. I know it's over 700 people, but I don't have figures on the Tripass and Daypass sales.

Usually...

Okay, usual scenerio here, but nothing is ever cast in concrete.

A couple of 'No-Host Bars' will be set up in the room [and there's usually one also set up just outside the doors itno the party itself so friends can come down, get a drink and get together in the lobby area outside the panel room/cocktail party]. There are usually at least two islands of food set up: hot munchies, cold muchies, fruit/veggies, cheeses, etc. There are some chairs available to sit at and/or a few tables set up for folks to cluster around. A lot of folks just stand and mingle, taking an occosional time out to site somewhere.

If any of our guests join us, they tend to wander and mingle, but we often don't know who'll be dropping by until they walk in the door.

What if ...

what they are no actor at the coktail

They're attandence is entirely up to them - there's nothing contractual for them to come to the cocktail party nor does Gatecon make any promises about anyone being there. Someone usually wanders by.

Sorry I can't give you anything more specific on their attendance.

Rowan

thanks rowan i only hope to see them at coktail but if we are 500 they impossible to talk with them so may be it better that they don't come

One never knows

I don't remember every year clearly by any means [not from drinking, but from working...] Don, Teryl and Amanda came by the first year. Alexis was with us one year. Doug and David last year.

So, you never know...
