Hi,

Since you have the Studio Tours on the Itinerary I was wondering when the auctions for spots would start and if you have any idea how many spaces there would be?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

the studio tour seat auction will be next month and will have 150 slots available...will send an official announcement round to the mailing list just ahead of it going live.

Excellent thanks for that. By the way Alexis will be at the store on the 13th if you want to pop around

question

this probably has nothing to do with what you are talking about, but I figured I'd ask. You said Alexis, you don't mean Alexis Cruz do you?

Ok, then where will he be? You have the store. Is he going to be a guest at Gatecon?!

Hi,

Can't say anything for Gatecon as apart from being a paying ticket holder I'm nothing to do with the organisation.

As for Alexis I only mentioned it as Rich lives 20 miles away from me in the UK and I thought he might like to talk to Alexis.

The store is my friends and it is in Swindon in the UK.

you know him? that's really cool.

Sorry I was confused, I just got excited - I thought you meant at a store near the convention:)

If you see him, talk him into going<g>

I was hoping Rich would do the persuading :p

doing flips- StarGazer03's way of begging/pleading/entreating Richard to convince Alexis to visit the con...

:D

Silly question, and one that has no doubt been asked elsewhere, but how many people are eligible to bid for the studio tour? Is it just available for the Superpass holders, or is it open to anyone who has a Gatecon ticket - I'm just trying to work out how big a chance I might have of getting a couple of places?

Ta muchly

Studio Tours - IMPORTANT

Huge apologies to everyone who has already placed a bid on the studio tours - we are STILL in negotiation over these and the two tours should NOT have gone live yet (the site starts them automatically).

Rest assured those bids already placed will still be valid when the tours really do start!!

We'll keep you posted.
Thanks and once again sorry for the site jumping the gun!
Richard

Had me going Richard, just checked on my two bids and GASP! it was gone! This is the first site I came to knowing there'd be an answer, as always- thank you for keeping us posted!
Harry

how will it work?

you said that there is going to be 150 places for the studio tour. How is that going to work. There is going to be a different bid for each place or the last higher 150 bids are going to be selected???
thank you for the precisions

Honeymiel1- if I remember last yrs correctly it went to the top 150 bidders; ie- if all bids #150 and under were like minimum $200 and you were at $175, bidder #151, you would've lost; only the top 150 high bids will win- we'll get the true grit from Richard though to be sure/safe
Harry

how it's worked in previous years is that the top 150 bids will win, in event of a tie, like let's say 141-152 all bid $150...then the folks that bid earlier will be ahead of those that bid later, so it's a combo of who pays the most, and in event of a tie, who bid first

what's fun to watch, depending on your definition of fun, is the last hour it closes....just hit refresh every 5 minutes and watch the bids climb

traditionally also, the tours are early sun am, as in leave the hotel by 8am and they have been open to all ticket holders

now that has been previous years, check the site for details for this year's presuming it does happen

Oh where oh where
could our auctions be
Oh where oh where could they beeeeeeeee????

:D

as we wait in anticipation for the return of the GateCon auctions.....

Any idea when the auctions might be opened up again, I know of a some people who fly out a couple of weeks before Gatecon who would like to try and bid on places if possible?

Thanks for any help Richard.
