Favourite characters?

I've always had a soft spot for Davos, too. He's faced with so many small opportunities to be selfish, to do the wrong thing, and few would blame him, yet he continues to persevere and sacrifice his own desires for a greater good. And he rarely stands to gain, and in fact loses so much, but still doesn't cave in. It's a quiet courage, and beautiful, because he really thinks he's no better than anyone else. He doesn't believe he is doing anything exceptional, or brave, or remarkable.
I almost cheered out loud when Stannis rewards him for it, when others are calling for his death. And I desperately hope he survives whatever fate is in store for Stannis, and that he isn't murdered for his faith and honesty by a lesser man (or any man/woman, for that matter), or exiled, or loses what is left of his family. Sadly, that's what fate and GRRM seem to have in store for honest, unswervable people.

I also like Davos alot. His fault is that he may be too loyal to Stannis. Hope he sees that the ships is sinking in time to save himself.

Daenerys has three dragons. Who can beat that? But seriously, I think Dany has grown the most as a character over the course of the books and I admire her.

Arya, Jaime, Brienne and Jon Snow.

I hate Davos and Tyrion, those chapters seem to last foreeeever.

I love Arya, Jaime, Jon, Tyrion, Brienne and Sandor. Oberyn died too fast, I liked him too. I hated Jaime at first (obviously!) but his characters growth brought me over to his side. Sandor is much the same I suppose.

I hate Cersei, Littlefinger, Theon, Stannis and just about everyone Dany meets in the Free Cities.

My faves are Jon and Tyrion...........closely followed by Jamie and Arya( she gets more play soon ........right?? )

My axe.............quickly!

I'm starting to hate Catelyn Stark. My friends say the whole mess is her fault to begin with because she took Tyrion captive. I had some sympathy for her because I would do anything to save my kids... or avenge them. Now it's just getting ridiculous. Damn Beric Dondarrion! Damn Freys!

I think the optimum word there is "starting". Snail. I can see your point, though. There are different kinds of honour, and Cat thought she was doing the right thing for her family. Once. Now she's just killing people.

Not damn Domdarrion. Poor, poor Dondarrion. Poor, sad, empty, suicidal Dondarrion. Damn Freys, however, I cannot disagree with.

*Suddenly catches sight of thread title, scrabbles to find something relevant to say*

My favourite is still Arya. Have you met Nymeria? She's a Dalmation. I couldn't get a dire-wolf, but I thought the traditional fire-fighting dog was the next best thing.

@Nymeria: No offence, sweetie. You are worthy of the name.

I disliked Catelyn from the get go, ever since the Jon thing, but strangely from the moment i read about the frey getting himself hanged(the one who pities himself, father to Amy gatehouse i think) i actually started to warm up to her.

There something about a dead once beautiful-gone-ugly completely mad woman on a path of vegeance

Characters which I like the most...

Robb -cos ever since his father gets betrayed, you always had a feeling he is doomed

Jon - someone said he's boring and predictable...huh??? The boy's one of those you have a feeling will live through the next thing he faces, yet you have no idea what he's gonna die

Bronn - /bow... he's like... you're friendly skilled rogueish sellsword...

Ser Jorah - depite all his betrayals, minor or not minor, he's good, skilled, experienced... and emotional, which leads to his betrayals really

Arya - fierce little cookie

Tyrion - love the dwarf

Marq Piper - yes... Marq Piper... :O

The Red Viper of Dorne, Prince Oberyn

Characters which I like reading the most from their POV....

Jaime - evil, does some good, evil, does some good, evil, vain, skilled, goes through turmoil

Davos - like him too, but love reading his POV... only really insight to Stannis' actions anyway

Theon - liked his POV in book 2, though to be honest, I found his transformation from a ward that saves lives and fights to someone pretty dumb and vain to the point of lunacy... somewhat a "meh"

Characters which I find somewhat boring to read their perspective...

Sansa - she depends on people around her... Was interesting to read with the Tyrells in court, boring as hell before that

Bran - dunno, kid just doesn't do it for me... Or Jojen for that matter

Samwell - for all the reasons why I should like this kid (underdog, kind heart etc.) I always found his whining annoying and his adventures... a "meh"

hmmm Bronn friendly? He comes across to me as coldly vicious with only one redeeming quality - that being his undeniably combat skills. He's certainly cunning, but he isn't the brightest penny. Remember, he was only Tyrion's 'friend' as long as he was getting paid.

It was a joke really. ;)

No he's not "good people", but still one of my favourite characters.

My favorite favorite? Tyrion, hands down. He's ruthlessly clever and sort of innocent, in his own way... before the end of AFFC, anyway.

Other favorites, in no particular order: Jaime, Jon, Dany (though she's getting kind of... tedious, methinks), Arya, and Sam.

I'm only a little over a hundred pages into A Feast for Crows and my favorite characters have been:

Jaime
Cersei
Tyrion
Sansa
