Heroes Season I, Part 2

It wouldn't actually have to be another power. It might be an extension of his original one to bend time and space. In this case the he bent space and pushed the bullet back into the gun.

Claire is standing up to her father. I like that.

But I'm kinda freaked out about Simone being shot--and dead?

With Simone I think she's dead, UNLESS Peter can tap into his power to regenerate and regenerate Simone. Wouldn't that be freaky?

I don't think Peter needs to regenerate Simone. Can't he go back in time and save her - he met Hiro on the train so he should have Hiro's abilities to bend time and space. Maybe Peter was even the one who stopped the bullet meant for Hiro.

How in the world can people be complaining about Mohinder, who hasn't done a single dumb thing yet, being dumb (just for not being psychic), and give Matt a total pass on repatedly, over and over, in every situation, doing the stupidest thing any human could possibly do (unless the goal he's secretly cleverly working toward is to make things as bad for himself and his family as he can)?

Maybe we're just assuming that Matt fits the stereotype of well-meaning dumb lug, whereas Mohinder is supposed to be smart.

Matt did fail his detective exam numerous times - that shows he might not be the sharpest tool, but he wants to be good. (I have a cat just like him)

Mohinder doesn't feel right about Sylar, at least he said something to that effect and has given Sy some odd looks. He should trust his intuition and not rely on everything that is placed in front of him.

well, whaddya know. Creepy Glasses Man turned out to be a Hero, after all.

I'll give "Creepy Glasses Man" credit for protecting his family. But I reserve ultimate judgement as to whether he is one of the good guys or not. One thing is clear he is not a card board cut out villian. Probably much worse :(

Whoa - they actually gave us a few hints at what is going on! Nice to see Mr Bennet has the beginnings of a heart and doesn't want his daughter mixed up with whatever gov agency he works for, although the man is still CGM to me. What will become of the rest of his family? The Haitian couldn't have erased them all, but now claire's mom and bro know.

I wonder if Claire feels pain.

Poor atomic Ted - was the girl working with Eric Roberts character, once telepathic cop was wired up, the same girl that went to atomic ted with the digital information downloading capability? COuld she be a traitor to her kind? For what purpose?

Anyone totally shocked that HIRo's dad is probably not Hiro's biological father? I'm glad we may get to see more of George Takai, but man, what does this mean? Is Hiro adopted too with hopes that he would one day develop hero characteristics? I assume he knows about Hiro's abilities, why did he come to see Hiro but then give up?

Did you see next weeks spoiler - I don't think SImone needs anyone to go back and save her.

Interesting... Bennett could still go back to work for the same agency, since the memory-wiper guy doesn't need to take away his work skills or even most of his memories of Claire in order for his knowledge to give the agency no clues for finding her. And it all fits perfectly with his alibi, too, about the memory wiper having hidden Claire in plain sight for a while, because after that it would be consistent for him to have removed exactly the memories he is removing from Bennet and run off. Plus, they seemed to be setting up a potential partnership between him and Matt, which would give Bennett a big asset and give Matt not only a job but also some answers about what's going on.

But will Bennett WANT to do his old job again? Recent events give him reason not to, and his choice of the location to be shot and have his memory edited seems to be a psychological reference back to when he shot Claude, which would indicate that he's changing his plans and motivations. He might even stay with the agency just to try to change it, work against it, or use it to help these people...

Augh! I feel more sympathy for Claire's nonbiological father than I did before: he really goes out on a limb (or should that be a bridge and an abdomen? :) ) to protect her.

Linderman, Sylar, and the organization headed by Hiro's dad . . . with three main enemies out to get the heroes, and with various superpowered collaborators (like Jessica) helping those enemies, it's hard to see how the Good Heroes will survive. Unless, somehow, the three enemies end up battling one another and weakening themselves.

Save Mr. Muggles, save the world!

Someone was saying Hiro was adopted? I missed that part. Really?

I don't think he's adopted. And I don't think his father knows about his powers. He may know that Hiro's a "potential," but not that he manifested. Could be wrong, though.

I think he could be adopted. If Claire's father had never mentioned that she was, we wouldn't have been the wiser until she started looking for her birth parents. It makes sense that if they placed infant Claire with Bennet, that would do the same ting with infant Hiro if they thought he might one day manifest. How could his father not know of Hiro's powers when Hiro has not tried to hide them o ne bit - the man (Takai) seems to be pretty high up the evil corp ladder. He di try and stop Hiro from his quest. Could it be he knows, but loves Hiro and wants to keep his powers hidden. I think Hiro even told him he had to get the sword form Linderman, and I have a hard time believing Hiro's dad and Linderman aren't connected.

Next we know, Mr. Muggles will manifest a power...

Anyway, last week's episode was great. Lots of info, especially on CGM who may not be so crazy after all. Good stuff. Of course they just had to tweak it and tease that we get to see Linderman next week!

I can't get the idea of the Haitian guy out of my mind. One minute he's loyal to one person, the next he's loyal to another. Are they all just tricks so that Linderman knows all, all the time?
