Sry, I think Stannis was planning on making it his headquarters. In fact, he may have already moved Selyse and Shireen into it. I imagine their little family at the Nightfort will resemble The Shining.

If Nightfort is really doomed, I can see Grey Scale making a fast appearance again as Val had predicted it would. Two Grey Scale carriers. One in the South, the other one in the North and the Winter is coming.

Also, did anyone notice a staggering similarity between Brienne and Sansa in their dissimilarity?

And something I noticed before but hadn't mentioned. Does Jaime and Cersei's relationship remind anyone of the sub and dom kink like a lot?

Could you explain more about the Brienne and Sansa dis/similarity? I'm curious about that.

Their naiveté. They both have a degree of a highly romanticised way of how certain things work (For Sansa, it is the world of poems. For Brienne, the knighthood. Brienne is rather idealising the tales of knighthood at times from what she knows about it regardless of the actual state just like Sansa does with the court and knights and ladies in the beginning.) Yet, they are total opposites. Sansa is all about being feminine. Brienne couldn't be farther from it.

And yes, Jaime and Cersei do remind me of a sub/dom kink.

IKR! Gosh, book 3 is so explicit on it. Like, Cersei is the sub who plays a pretend at not giving the control to her dom Jaime only to give in gladly in the end. Reluctant sub for an aggressive dom. I gave this way too much thought. XD

Possibly. The sub holds the power to give power. The dom only has as much power as the sub allows. However, in her other sexual escapades, she is more of a Please-Me-Dom.

I don't recall this being mentioned, but do you guys think there is something more, something to be revealed about Nightfort? The number of alleged incidents there is significantly higher than anywhere else and the passage is there. Is the existance of passage perhaps connected with the incidents? I know it is a long shot, but just wondering.

I don't think Patchface and Shireen can open it. They hadn't taken the black last I recall.

No they haven't taken the black, but are you 100% sure that's the only way to open it? There are also nights watchmen, builders to be exact, at the nightfort as well, so who knows what might happen.

Something I noticed. So, Mel once saw Bran and Bloodraven in the flames and had assumed them to be the Champions of the Great Other. However, in her request to Red God she asked him: "Show me your king, your instrument." I had always suspected that she had misinterpreted it, but mayhap Bran and Bloodraven are the instruments of Red God indirectly as they do serve his final purpose.

Same here. I still watch the show, but I feel like ever subsequent season is not as good as its predecessor. Still a good show, but not the best thing out there anymore. I don't think any big hints are going to come from the show.

I know what you mean. It is just that at first, I saw the point in majority of changes made like budget or simply not being translatable from the books. Then, I no longer could... Especially the last season. I don't think I'll be watching it anymore. What attracted me mostly was that it was a very good adaptation. As it isn't a very good adaptation anymore, I'm just not interested.
