Not so important connections

Heh, I liked when Arya said : "I hope your princess dies!" I hope not :)

Anyway, more nice useless information/speculation:
At Harrenhal tourney (Meera's story) King Aerys sent Rhaegar to find and reveal the mystery knight. I think he succeeded :D So Aerys is the one who started the whole Robert's rebelion thing.
So Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?

Yes marshmallows would be delicious on a sandwich...SNARF!

Because I like you Tysha I went looking for the early speculation on the Knight of the Laughing Tree. Some think it was Howland but most think it was Lyanna...

Knight of the Laughing Tree

Enjoy....and the first post is hard to read but it gets better from there.

Wow, we are really in need in a new book. Thanks Aegon, I thought it's a nice " not important connection" that Aerys is the one who was responsible for the whole war and his death.( By sending Rhaegar to find the mystery knight (Lyanna))
I'm re-reading now and I've though I have a new idea lol :) Oh well.

By the way...Pinky says "Narf!"....not Snarf....Snarf is said by that one Thundercat....whose name eludes me right now (thats a joke).

The books have been out so long Im thinking every possible thing has been discussed. Thats why we were so agog over Tyshas "Alleras does not=Sarella but in fact = Aegon theory". That had never been discussed before in my recollection and prompted a flurry of research, postings, bloodshed and tears. (Boaz calls those four things "Tuesday Night")

You know Ive been thinking that Im gonna stop referring people to other threads for a while. It seems to stifle conversation. I dont mind re-talking about something from 4 years ago or whatever.....seriously I dont.

Right. We don't want to stifle conversation. But the referring part allows people to find more... Okay, I see your point, you want to free flow the conversation now and see if we can get something new... gotcha. Can we get a mod to destroy all posts from before... say... well... before last week? Just delete them all. Let's start over.

I don't know whether to laugh myself silly or cry because you're right.

Somewhere in that book, it tells a bit about her history. it tels how she was married (for real) once. But I don't remember much.

I want tyrion to have happy ending with his Tysha (is this a fantasy forum or a fairy-tale forum?). Or with Sansa. It would great if that little brat could learn to love the Imp.

No, Littlefinger is not a targ supporter. Remember this line, "And Littlefinger... is for Littlefinger"?

I am tired of waiting and speculating.

Can someone please just offer to help our dear George finish his series, please?

Life is not a publishing deadline, sweetling. You may learn that one day to your sorrow.

Tyrion might end up with Sansa, but I think she's a greater opportunity to end up with Sandor. He frightened her, threatened her, confided in her, protected her, and made her sing... but she misremembered that he kissed her! He did not, but she thinks he did. She'd rather have the Hound than the Imp.

But I think... Dany (dragons are neither male nor female) as Queen of Westeros, Jon as King in the North, or Aegon as King of Westeros have the best chances of ending up with Sansa.

You genius-bastards! I never thought of Sarella or the Sphinx in that light before or with the Aegon (yuck, hate how he might be alive theory) factor like that. Damn you, damn you all. I don't need a glass candle to forsee many pissed off irritable nights cuz I cannot figure this out. ...hmm... maybe painkillers or sleep agents though ...

P.S.
Ok, I just reread the pro logue and the end again for FFC. Alleras is most assuredly without doubt, Sarella. Onyx eyes, half dornish and black curls that have a wido peak. Plus Doran admits she is no longer in Dorne.

Boaz, I don't think it was Jeyne who was sent North. I think it was just some girl they found and taught her what to say and do. Remember that Jeyne can remarry, but would have to wait 2 years? Her mother and Jaime had that discussion and it was mentioned how Tywin arranged matches for the Westerlings. Her mother being so proud and such would never have consented to having her daughter shipped off to be some other girl even if it meant the North. Besides, Jeyne left with her mother and Edmure at the same time, all in the direction of the West .i.e Casterly Rock and most like Tarbeck Hall.

Cripe .... I just realized you meant Jeyne Poole? Shiite. I just blew any street cred I was building up here. :p

First, Welcome aboard to our new members. Hope you'll have a good time on chronicles forums.
Now back to the business.
You completely missed the point of this thread:rolleyes:. It was supposed to be some sort of collection of seed from which would crazy theories grow, but what a heck.

Small connection: Have you noticed that Rhaennis black kitten (old one eye cat that Arya hunted) spit on Sansa when she went to meet Dontos for the first time?

I need your help with this one. I don't have original AFFC so I need someone to quote it. So... I need you to find descriptions of ser Morgart (spelling?) from Aleyna's last chapter (one of 3 knights) and description of old brother that Brienne talks to (that saved Sandors life). I think they are the same man.

Ser Morgarth ....... "Aye" said the second knight, a burly fellow with a thick salt-and-pepper beard, a red nose bulbouswith broken veins, and gnarled hands as large as hams.

I'll go look for the brother person now....

Ok, Elder Brother .... He stood straight an tall, and moved with the vigor of a man in the prime of his years. Nor did he have a gentle kindly face she expected of a healer. His head was large and square, his eyes shrewed, his nose veined and red.Though he wore a tonsure, his scalp was as stubbly as his heavy jaw.

Voila' :)

Littlefinger didn't know about the Red Wedding. I don't think he intended Catelyn to die, as he wanted her for himself. So if he had known about Robb's marraige, he might've forseen the threat of a Frey/Lannister alliance and warned Robb and Cat off.

The useless connection is: He only just missed out on hearing about Robb's marraige, and the whole brooding inevitable stormcloud of Stark vs. Frey that it entailed. Lord Tywin tells Tyrion about it right after Littlefinger leaves the council session and the Red Keep, to go to the Vale. If he'd stayed in the Red Keep a couple more days, he might've heard about it, and then probably would've tried to do something to save his Lady Love.

Dude, Littlefinger is Lord Tywin, just twenty years behind. No-one takes him seriously so he decides to become a Magnificent ******* and screw them all over in order to make them take him seriously. I think he planned to take the Iron Throne or the handship, with Catelyn as his queen, but she died. So he's settled for Sansa.

He's going to end the same way Tywin did: one of his pawns will realise they are a pawn, will get tired of being a pawn, and will exact sweet vengeance. My bet is Sansa in the billiard room with a candlestick, after she finds out Petyr killed her dear Sweetrobin (or that he betrayed her father.)

OMG Double Post! Because I've found one line of tekst that just triggered a raging totally-irrelevant, completely-inconsequential conspiracy theory!

So at the end of a Tyrion chapter in aSoS:

Tyrion: Could the Westerlings and Spicers be such great fools as to believe the wolf can defeat the lion?
Lord Tywin: The greatest fools are oftimes more clever than the men who laugh at them.

You guys... Lord Tywin totally told his bannermen that if their keeps were taken, they were to get their daughters to try and seduce Robb Stark, 'cause Tywin knew that then Robb would feel honour bound to marry them, and that would totally destroy the Frey/Stark alliance, leaving the Freys open to a Lannister alliance, with a desire for vengeance that led to the Red Wedding.

R.I.P Lord Tywin, the greatest political mastermind... ever.

You wanna know why Jeyne Westerling never conceived, even though she and Robb tried every night? Moontea. Her momma fed her moontea, as per Lord Tywin's instructions.

Stellar, you might want to check out this thread:

http://www.sffchronicles.co.uk/forum/42449-tyrions-third-littlefinger-and-subtlety.html

Especially, this part of the first post:

On the last page of Tyrion’s third chapter of ASOS on page 272 the following exchange takes place.

“Jeyne Westerling is her mother’s daughter,” said Lord Tywin, “and Robb Stark is his father’s son.”
“The Crag is not so far from Tarbeck Hall and Castamere,” Tyrion pointed out. “You’d think the Westerlings might have ridden past and seen the lesson there.”
“Mayhaps they have,” Lord Tywin said. “They are well aware of Castamere, I promise you.”
“Could the Westerlings and Spicers be such great fools as to believe the wolf can defeat the lion?”
“The greatest fools are ofttimes more clever than the men who laugh at them,” he (Tywin) said, and then, “You will mary Sansa Stark, Tyrion. And soon.”

The Westerlings and Spicers either were under instructions from Tywin when they sent Jeyne to “comfort” Robb or they immediately let Tywin know of that development so he could use it to his advantage.

Jeyne Westerling is her mother’s daughter. Lady Westerling seems to be an opportunistic and conniving woman.

Robb Stark is his father’s son. Eddard did not understand the nature of the game of thrones.

In AFFC, the Westerlings and Spicers are not only welcomed back into the King’s Peace, they are all rewarded for their service.

Oddly enough, this part of the post is never really discussed in that thread that I can remember and, to me, it was the most interesting theory. So thanks for bringing it up again.

You wanna know why Jeyne Westerling never conceived, even though she and Robb tried every night? Moontea. Her momma fed her moontea, as per Lord Tywin's instructions.

Where to begin?

Remember when Jaime met the Westerlings? Remember how the mother seemed conniving and the daughter seemed in mourning? So we have to accept that Jeyne Westerling had real legitimite feelings for Robb....

Remember how Jeyne confided to Catelyn about her fertility potion that turned out to be moontea? Clearly she didnt realize her mother was feeding her some sort of "morning after" drink.

So if she had feelings for Robb, and was unaware of her mothers machinations doesnt that mean she was not sent to seduce the King of the North but rather just happened to have seduced him instead?

So if her and Robb were an accident then it probably follows that Tywin didnt order any such seduction....

Thats why we dont really discuss this conspiracy....its already been disproven....wish I knew where the other thread was....
