First Lines

Correction? it's hell when you wake up dead and you don't know what you did wrong ;)

Admiral Lord Nelson opened his eyes to find himself beached atop a tall column of stone, caked hat to toe in dried guano.
 
If I could turn back time I never would have kissed the girl. That was when things got turned upside down and I ended up in the bottom of the ocean with nothing but a rope and a concrete block. Good thing I keep a razor blade in my mouth.
 
The snow fell in waves from the sky. In just a few hours the bloody heap of dead soldiers was covered with a prestine blanket of white. A new start, some would think, a clean slate to end the war.
 
I've been watching them for so long I've gone blind, but still I see those things I need to.
 
Tomorrow didn't wait for today to finish...it just sort of crowded in there and push today out of line.

On his release from prison they told him he didn't do it and that the real murderer had been caught red handed, so how come he knew he was guilty.
 
He had no name, but that certainly wasn't going to keep the assembly drone from introducing himself. She was called Aera, and she had no intentions of being kept from her mission.
 
I killed someone today. Not unusual for a human but you see, I'm not human.

It bleeped at me again. If I could just remember what it meant. Had it anything to do with the way people were running away from me? Maybe that was just my B.O. Why couldn't I remember?
