Just because I was dressed in a fish costume and tied to the bed with sticky taffy was no excuse to shriek angrily at me, yet that is exactly what my wife did when she came home early from work last Monday.

You want to know why I'm hiding, I suppose. It's simple. When I infiltrated the alien base in northeastern Russia I had no idea what was in store for me. When they found me out, they beat me and left me for dead.

The ground proximity warning was still sounding. If we hadn't been sitting on the ground for twenty minutes it might have worried me, but I'd already found something far more intriguing to worry about. The ground was still falling.
