The Discworld Diaries

If you like the Death books you should also like Reaper Man. An oft-maligned but enjoyable addition to the group. Did you also pick up The Last Hero? It is beautifully illustrated by Paul Kidby (so not in the traditional format) and fits into the regular books right after Interesting Times.

Discworld has been put on hold for a bit. The Children of Hurin stands in the way...

I keep a log of my book reviews with 5 being best.. I own all of the discworld series but have read and rated the following:

A Light Fantastic- 3.2
Equal Rites- 2.9
Mort -3.75
Sourcery- 3.8
Wyrd Sisters- 3.4
Pyramids- 3.7
Eric- 3.5
Guards! Guards! -4
Moving Pictures- 3.4
Reaper Man- 4.0
Witches abroad- 4.25
Small Gods- 1
Lords and Ladies- Halfway through..stopping for a while.
Men At Arms- 4.425
Soul Music- 4

Wyrd Sisters is the last one I read as well, I didnt think Id be a big fan of the witches stories but I have to say I found it one of the funniest yet, after Mort of course :).

Last night I read the Discworld Mapp. There's some short entries on famous explorers, and guess what? they're all pretty silly :D

On a side note (I posted this in The Lounge as well), I need to find idioms for my English Profiency class -- ten a week, actually -- I'm going to try and do ten Pratchett entries a weel :D

I think I'm finishing Pyramids today or tomorrow, which leaves me with Guards! Guards! only. In other words, the next order is coming up:

From Eric to Maskerade and I got the Bromeliad trilogy.

Yay! you're coming up to my personal favourite set of characters, Marky - the Night Watch.:)

In some unforseen spare time, I managed to read the three short stories set in the Discworld: Theatre of Cruelty, Death and What Come Next and A Collegiate Casting Out of Devilish Devices.
