Your Favorite Comic Book Hero

I haven't read much Dragonball, but Piccolo was a good character. I have a lot of favourite characters from manga, although most of them you couldn't really call "superheroes", despite any abilities they might have. That's actually quite a tough question to answer! (Especially given that my brain won't work so well right now due ot a bad night suffering from a cold). I'll give it some thought and then post whatever I come up with.

Honourable mentions would have to go to Judge Dredd and Rouge Trouper.

There is really only one winner though - Asterix!

Yeah, that is the fun thing about manga and anime storytelling: they don't go the whole superhero route. Sometimes I wish more American superheroes would get some manga treatment. There could be some clever twists.

I'd love to see a little more manga-style storytelling in some American superhero comics/graphic novels - I might start reading them again. Back when I stopped reading Marvel, I remember thinking that the twists were getting a little predictable. Perhaps things have changed - I don't know.

Obelix was the true hero, without his strenght that dont need the elixir unlike Asterix, they wouldnt be able to do anything

Batman everytime, he is the best hero ever due to the fact he doesn't have powers and his greatest foe's are all just crazy people.

Sandman/Morpheous/Lord of Dreams...How can I not choose this this brooding prince of darkness and if I could pick another, it would be V, from V for Vendetta.
