Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers*

Gods do die.

Rathar and the other original blind God (Mythar?) are dead and there are like 4 of the 7 others who are dead.

Yes but as the keepers said in Exile's Return, nothing actually dies - as in it doesn't cease to exist, it just changes into something else. Like if you throw a man into the fire, he becomes ash.

So basically we are all just different forms of energy. But energy change sometimes cannot be reversed, so this might be what is happening with the blind gods

In theory any energy change can be reveresed if you can put enough energy in to bring about that chnge, I think. To return Rathar and Mythar this would be something like: destroying all order and worshipping nothing at all, or returning the Valheru to Midkemia with them worshiping the Blind Gods. These were lost or 'died' because people started to worship more specific energy forms, e.g. Good, evil, fire, theivery and acted in such ways, thus forming more indivdual deities. As I see it anyways, where's that Gambler when you need him...

I can't see Nakor being Ishap though, he mentions impulsiveness in his youth brought on by being touched by a God, not something I'd relate to Ishap.

Anyone else ever wonder how much of the whole Gambling thing is just a front?

Nakor has a 'sliver' of Kalkin. In "flight of the nighthawks", nakor talks to Pug how Ralan Bek had a similar childhood as himself. Later on Nakor talks to Bek about what makes him stop the dreams. Nakor says when ever he gambed, con'ed people the dreams would stop. Nakor as believes in tricks. As well as that Kalkin/Banath is looking after the 'realm of knowledge' until Wospur comes back.
Banath is the trickster god.

Definitly makes sense and is the direction most people appear to be going in!.

Nakor should be a God of his own. God of thought and just, sheer genius.

He did, but reverted to oranges again. I wonder if Nakor is behind the abundance of Vitamin C tablets that abound and the 5 fruit and veg a day scheme?

Perhaps he's Hoopy in disguise.....

Hoopy in disguise? :D

He could be one of the Valheru (a long shot I know but maybe)

Hmmmmm I'm not convinced.
Seriously, he does have a shard of a God in him(pretty certain) which would seem, most logically, to be Banath?

It must be Banath. Think about all the gambling and 'tricks' he knows about. Wasn't he a bit of a thief in his younger days? (or am I mistaking him for Gollum?) :p

*Hides*

Sorry, just been reading the Tolkien forum. I swear he was a thief...or was that Macros. Or was it no-one. Anyhow, there are so many possibilities...I'll just wait until March 1st!

Well, I was cooking up a really nasty spell that would have put a thousand fleas in your shorts, but we'll forgive you this time... :D:D

You can't compare Nakor to Gollum, but yes, Nakor was a thief at one point in his life - as well as always being a gambler with some shady ways of winning. But that's one of the reasons I like him. :)
