Favorite Mythical Beast?

Ah, nj1, like the, 'Beastie of the Moor,' which, despite being a Skye Terrier has been known to eat crocodiles.:D

(See also; Kestrel makes Kangabrew taste like Woolabra Wonga (Sheep dip).)

The Kraken is another interesting one. Had some play in The Odyssey if I remember correctly.

Not my favorite, but I couldn't help but mention it:

The Vegetable Lamb of Tartary!

A plant that bears fully grown sheep who then begin grazing the surrounding area till both plant and animal die.

I've actually read of these before...I found them to be a bit strange myself

I've always liked Dragons, but since that is somewhat going with the flow I'm going to say Basilisk (especially with the Piers Anthony book where the Basilisk fights the Furies :D)

Tengu! I got to be one in a skit for Japanese class. It's fun to cause mischeif.

Bigfoot is on my list too. Mainly because some folks still think its real and it's fun to watch them take moose fur and call it "evidence."

hmm, yes, same with The Abomidible Snowbeast, except for it's probably Polar Bear fur

When i was knee high to a grass hopper, my fave mythical beast was the Pegasus, don't know why this was, perhaps i thought they were real, but the idea of a flying horse was wonderous.
Same goes for the Unicorn i suppose, elegant and beautiful creatures!

I had a tiny Pegasus as big as my bag.
When I took the bus to school, this Pegasus used to flit just outside the window.

But my other Favourite Beast is

THIS ONE

...

Ah, Cheshire cat, a favorite Character of Alica in Wonderland. I suppose everyone wanted one of those, haha

Dragons, but not just any type. I really liked how they were portrayed as a species with a water serpent stage and cocoons in the Live Ship books.

Dragons for me, but not your soft friendly dragons from say DragonHeart but more your agro, fiery dragon from Reign of Fire. Something with a bit of terror to it.
