Final lines....

Kaleb didn't know what had happened in his life to have gotten him to this point. But he knew that nobody would ever learn of what he did. It was a pleasant experience, he thought to himself in surprise as he pulled his roast out of the oven, slicing the medium rare meat into thick, juicy strips. It was such a shame it had ended so soon.
 
I pressed the gun hard against Sally's stomach and her eyes widened. I pulled the trigger but the hammer came down on an empty chamber. So I kissed her.
 
They had relied on me and my spaceship to save the last planet in the universe holding any intelligent life. But my procrastinating from buying a warp speed upgrade had finally cost me the ultimate price. I think I'll put off killing myself until tomorrow.
 
And that , dear reader , is all I have to say on the matter.

"Charlie,your fish fingers are ready!" came the call from the foot of the stairs. The slight smirk on his face contorted into one of confusion ; since when had fish had fingers?

One final time she gazed forlornly into the full length mirror, unconciously tugging at the loose strands of her hair as she did so.As she turned her back on her only hope of escape from this hellish place , her reflection didn't....
 
...and at that very moment wondered, At what point did I die?
 
Looking back, I realized something. It wasn't that I had wanted to do it, only that it was necessary. I turned away from where the girl had previously lain on the bed, so foolishly trusting in me that she had fallen asleep.

I only need one more for my collection, and then I can finally start selling them off. After all....


Vampires need money too.
 
Alan looked within his mind's eye at the full extent and experience of his life and came to the conclusion he was nothing more than a common tosser.
 
(So, I just submitted a line in the "first lines" thread that works equally well as a final line.)

There was an audible chruch as ten year old Tony snapped his hand to the left and killed his mother... again.

As he looked back at the world he'd failed to save, it exploded in multi colored riot of gases, minerals and liquids. "If that wasn't Earth, It'd be kinda beautiful." He whispered to the lonely rocket ship.
 
The heroic quest was over; the thousand Dragons defeated, and Bimby and Gimlet rode wearily off and away into the foggy,shimmering purple sunset of middle Lothorgornia.
There would be thousands, no millions more Dragons to slay- their series was huge success with the SciFi 'in' crowd. )
