Who said that?

I'm going to be gone for the weekend, so I'm skipping protocol by not waiting for BB to confirm my answer (it's correct, I looked it up) and posting a new quote.

Correct. (Although one could argue it might be Pod who said it. I'd have accepted either answer).

If you know one of the following speakers, then you'll know them both.

Jaime and Cersei in Book 1.

If that's right, skip me, I don't have my books with me at the moment.

for those keeping score, this was the conversation that Bran was "eavesdropping" on shortly before his "accident.

BB is correct. Since he's not here, I'll pass the conch to The Imp.

Also, BB thanks for letting me post without confirmation from you... I was not sure if I'd be able to check back at all this weekend and I did not want to leave you guys hanging. And yeah, you could argue it was Podrick Payne and not Nimble Dick Crabb, but I think it makes more sense that Dick says the line.

For Pete's sake, BB! You're right. I just looked it up. How do you know all these quotes? Do you have a photographic memory? Do you have psychic powers? Are you Rainman reincarnated? Sheesh...

When I post a quote, I think that the context should be evident for the viewers. I (almost always) post multiple sentences or two speakers to give the guessers a sporting chance. But I swear that you get every single quote with little or no clues to the setting or character.

Could it be that my memory is just not that good? Nah. That's not it. You must be cheating somehow.

I think he has pdf copies of all the books and does a text search function.

Nope. Just numerous re-reads, a pretty good memory for dialogue (e.g., I think the Blackfish's conversation with Jaime was one of the best parts of Book 4 and, fyi, someone else had already used the Hallis Mollen to Catelyn quote), and (obviously) way too much time on my hands. :)
