Who said that?

I have this recollection of Renly saying that when Cat went to broker a peace between him and Stennis. Just a guess and I could not say to who he said it.

edit for grammar and spelling

You are correct, Imp. :) He says it to... Rowan? Someone who is dismayed when Cat informs them that Jaime is still captive and alive, as opposed to flat out dead.

Mormont? I think the enitre quote is something like...

"Let me have a look at that skull. Alas, poor Othor! I knew him, Jaremy: a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy..."

since there's more than on Mormont we need his first name plrase
Or her name. Mmmmmm, Dacey.

Actually, am I close? Wow! I was just trying to make a joke... a reference to Hamlet.

Uh... my guess is Jeor to Jaremy.

close enough for government work. Jeor to Jon Snow

For government work... ha, ha, ha. Alrighty then!

"...but my lord father once told me that hard places breed hard men, and hard men rule the world."

I just reread ACOK and my hatred for Theon's character has been rekindled. I don't think I'm going to have much sympathy for Reek in ADWD.

All of us have dreams that come true sometimes.

After reading the preview of ADWD, I'd also like to say, "Poor Theon." And there's no doubt he's a victim of his father's avarice, but he's a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot. (Sorry, but Nine To Five was on AMC the other night.) Theon's also guilty of murder, rape, treason (multiple times), and various other war crimes.

As for my guess... Maester Luwin?
