Trying out An Atlantean Triumvirate, by C. Craig R. McNeil. :)

Finished PKD A Maze of Death - somehow it took me almost a week to finish this thin (ca. 200 page) book. Interesting and twisting plot with a surprising ending, a bit naive and stereotyped characters - but that gets an explanation at the end - altogether an enjoyable read - although not really a easy reading as the consumed time shows.
Now reading PKD The Penultimate Truth - start shows a lot of promise.

Philip Palmer's "Debatable Space" 2/3's done. I was hoping for an upgrade after slogging through Tony Ballantyne's latest trilogy. But if it is one this book really needs a bang up last third, I doubt it, so am reading slowly.

Where is the next Honor Harrington?!!!!

I like a few PKD books, but A Maze of Death wasn't one of them.
The Penultimate Truth is one that sparked my interest when I read a synopsis, but because PKD is either hit or miss for me, I haven't picked up a copy yet. Would you mind letting me know what you think when you have finished?

About 200 pages into The Swarm by Frank Schatzing, and I'm quite enjoying it, I know it wasn't meant to be funny but the exploding lobster didn't half make me laugh.

btw JD I thoroughly enjoyed Moorcocks Dancers, magnifique.

A friend of mine lent me 3 Discworld novels: Carpe Jugulum, Going Postal, and Making Money. Need to finish them soon.
I am pending Olympos again.

Glad you enjoyed them. They're a quirky bunch of characters, all right; and the increasing lunacy with the chaotic effects is almost the sff equivalent of that delightful rapid-fire witty dialogue of His Girl Friday or Bringing Up Baby... and yet Moorcock manages to say some very meaningful things through this completely zany performance....

Finally finished The Autobiography of Henry VIII. I did enjoy it, even though it was a little slow in parts.

Just started Gardens of the Moon by Stephen Erikson. I have heard so many good things about it around here so hopefully I won't be let down. :)

Also continuing my reread of A Storm of Swords by GRRM.

Trying to get through Black God's Kiss (a compilation of all five Jirel of Joiry stories) by C. L. Moore

Working my way through The Witch Doctor by Christopher Stasheff

And finished for the umpteenth time Dead to Me by Anton Strout

Well having just finished James Herbert's The Fog,an horrific tale,i'm about to start his The Survivor,a new one for me(never seen the film either)

Currently 1/3 the way through Sabriel by Garth Nix (Please don't mock me for just diving into these wonderfully written books! Thank you!) and I'm very much enjoying this adventure too.

I'm going to try to finish it this week so I can read Prince Caspian by C S Lewis before I go see the movie. It's a rather short book so I should have no issues. :)

Finished the Lensman saga, yet again.

Just started A Sword from Red Ice, by J.V.Jones.

I've got those, they're pretty good. Garth is a home grown product and a nice guy to boot.

Movie-what movie?

Prince Caspian has been made into a movie.

The Persimmon Tree is really hard to put down. I love Bryce Courtenay's books, they hook me into a storyline that most of my friends would find boring. I just love the reality and in-depthness of it.

I'm reading the Ill made mute by Cecelia Dart Thornton, saw books two and three together so many times always wondered what they would be like. Saw book one recently on my library shelf sitting next to book two and three so I nabbed em all three!:D

So far so good an tale filled with Faries (the old celtic kind) and flying ships only half way throughbut its playing out quite well, looking forward to finishing it and finding out more about the title charicter the ill made mute.

Im reading The Jackal by Fredrick Forsyth.

A classic spy thriller from 1971. Its both reaserched well, realistic and fun spy stuff. Not too much Clancy stuff too ei populistic and not too much mundane ala John Le Carrè.
