Kiwi, thanks for the diplomatic way of telling me I'm usually obtuse and boring. LOL. I know I need to concentrate on being concise and clear.

Eulalia, I don't know if I've made those comments regarding Sam and Boromir in the Martin threads, but I've done so in the Tolkien threads. And I may not be correct on Theon... that's just how I see him now.

Another cool thing about GRRM, is that he has said he is a "gardener" more than an "architect." That can mean he changes his mind a lot and talks about doing re writes. I image that is one reason he takes so long to finish. He also must paint himself into a corner sometimesl So while we guess about
Theon for pleasure, maybe he has changed the entire direction and purpose of the character. That way the characters stay fresh and true and surprising.
