Wow. That's something I haven't read for a while! Good to see them get a mention. Big favourites of my Mum, I always preferred the last one - Rilla of Ingleside to the others but still all good reads.


Just finished Azincourt by Bernard Cornwell and looking for more historical fiction of the middle ages.

Suggestions anyone?

NJ - I have had a gander in the Historical fiction bilge and after this perusal will be investing in the King Raven series.

Lady - Rilla is probably the saddest but, for me, the most meaningful.
 
Finished Best Served Cold, by Joe Abercrombie - highly recommended.

Re-reading Gemmell's Waylander books at the moment.

Abercrombie has been my second best find this year and the best in fantasy by some long way. I've already lent first law out to a friend, who initially complained that there were no good characters;). He's now thoroughly hooked:).
