HBO have sold (nearly?) all of their programmes, including any new stuff produced for the next few years (and so AGoT), to Sky!

Apparently not, although there were early discussions about it.

Thank the gods Virgin Media did a deal with Sky in the end - I was most peeved to miss the original runs of some of the Pratchett adaptations!

Waitaminute, I just remembered I'm not too fussed about the tv series...much.

Thank you, Ursa, Imp,No one, Boaz and all! I love the Game of Thrones I honestly felt it a tad dull until about a third of the way thru then the proverbial S hit the fan and loved every word since.

My favorite charachters so far are Jon Snow, Eddard (of course) Arya and the Imp. Looking forward to the HBO series and will read the next two books and see you folks in a few months. sniff and cry.

Thank you guys for "chasing me away" from the threads until I at least finished Storm of Swords.
I finished Feast for Crows last night.I actually finished Storm of Swords in July and waited a while to go for Feast Crows.
I had been so knocked out by all the twists and turns and developments it uncanny.
I also re-read the first 50 pages of Game of Thrones.
I'll be back on many a thread see you soon.
