Also the Greatjohn lost a finger (or was it 2?)

Sorry for the delay it was pretty hectic at work.

Name (as much as you can) southron families/houses that had married Northern Families. Btw also indicate the place.
Ex. Catelyn Tully, Riverrun to Ned Stark, Winterfell.

Cheers.

Edit: It has been awhile since I did a reread...and the events on the tv series had me confused with those in the books--Yeah it was Gared (not Will) who was beheaded tho I remembered him having lost his ears from the cold. The Silent Sisters prolly got their tongues cut out, too. Mors Crowfood was thought to be dead but when a crow pecked at his eye, he somehow regain consciousness and exacted his revenge upon eating the same crow...?

Robb Stark, Winterfell, married Jeyne Westerling, The Crag.

Roose Bolton, Dreadfort, married Walda Frey, The Twins.

Beron Stark, Winterfell, married a Royce, Runestone.

Willam Stark, Winterfell, married a Blackwood girl, Raventree.

One of Willam's daughters, Winterfell, also married a Royce, Runestone.

That's all I can remember.

Sorry for the wait, here we go:

Which house has a knife as their ancestral Valyrian Steel heirloom, and what kind of knife is it?

Not from the Vale :)

I didn't think this one would be so taxing...

Try to think about the character of the noble house and which one would think that a particular kind of knife would be more important than a sword...

hmmm...

this is a real thinker. good question Nark

I have no idea though. tried to do some research and came up empty handed also. Is the family Dornish?

Well, when you said that my mind instantly went to a flaying knife, that would make it House Bolton's, because what other knife types are there? :D
