I swear this board is haunted.
Thanks for good advice J.D. but, typical here in what passes for life - I have to stop, retire from writing all of a sudden, due to a bunch of ...issues with where I live. Really torturous mindless stuff, but
the effect on me is a total shutdown until I can relocate- which is next to impossible. Sold all my music gear too so I guess I mean it.
Won't stop reading tho.

Very sorry to hear that. I've been through periods where life just got too bizarre and maddening to allow me to do anything creative (at least, worth speaking of); but if I may offer a spot of advice, jot down anything you can in spare moments, even if it's only a sentence or two, or an idea, fragment, anything. Keep your hand in in whatever way you can. This may be something you already do, but just in case....

And the very best of luck with getting things taken care of, and finding some stability....

Thanks, J.D. My problem is political, not a writing issue. Novel virtually done, lots stuff started sitting, waiting. I am deliberately shutting down, until I live somewhere I don't feel bad about anything contributing to!
Sick, but where I live is a sick, sick place.
I'm going to attempt to get back to the USA but am pinned down pretty tight so it may not be possible unless I can find a way to circumvent the border guards.
