re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

So six entrants this month with (at the moment of typing) less than 20 posts each.

Excellent.

As is Mag the Magnificent's entry. (Which is also a useful reminder of tomorrow's History of the World in 100 Objects.)

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

Mag and Williamk have both made their way onto my shortlist.

This should be a fun month to decide on.

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

And you have more cause to lament, my dear Bones! Mag the Magnificent has produced a piece which is almost certainly going on my shortlist. Don't blame me this time, though, it was Karn's fault... :p

Now why am I being badly blamed? :( I thought we were supposed to find new challenge recruits. :( :D

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

I think she is just jealous because you managed to snare a new recruit, and she doesn't get to add to her tally.

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

Well, we're on the home stretch now, and I've got still nothing. This is the first month I haven't at least had a story I wasn't happy with at this stage...

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

Now, now, Cul, start up the next billion or so of your brain cells and let's have at it! :D You're certainly intelligent enough. :)

I'm wondering now, though, do you have any material at all?

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

Hehehe. Well, I don't know. I almost never visit the intro forum anyway, due to how many bots, ban-dodgers, and spammers we seem to get.

Oh, we manage to eradicate most of those before they get a chance to post in the Introductions forum. Not that most of the 'bots would be introducing themselves anyway.

Cul, if it's a story you won't be happy with that you're looking for, I'm sure that any one of us would be glad to lend you one of our very worst ideas.

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

Nonsense. I'm trying to be helpful.

Besides, how do any of us know that the idea we would have mishandled miserably wouldn't produce something brilliant if written by someone else?

See, then if he wins, one of us losers could say, "Yes, but I gave him the idea."

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

Indeed, Mrs. Edgerton, indeed. :)

Any ideas of what next month might be like? After all, we have to consider any possibility. I really do try to get all this out of the way ASAP, so I can focus on putting my entry together and then hopefully leaning back and see what rolls down the road.

This month has had a good number of gems in it. Some rather saucy, some almost chilling, and some that one can't help but laugh at. :D I know it's wrong to derive pleasure from another one's pain, but wasn't this the month of sin anyway? ;)

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

And it's 42!

I'm pretty sure Robert's still working on a story, too--I thought he'd get it in for #42 again this month, but alas.

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

Yeuw... am I so glad I hadn't eaten just before reading HJ's story...!

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

I do like HJ's!

re: Discussing the Writing Challenges -- September and October

I think I'm really going to have a big problem voting this month :(

Edit: Crikey that's a bit dark Hoopy... good though!
