But back to the issue at hand, I'm trying to come up with something, but whether or not I'll get into my usual first-day pattern, I don't know...I've been swamped with other projects I can't push my mind away from, for one.

Like the theme. I thought of it myself a few months back, and even mentally sketched out what seemed at the time a good story in case I won and got to choose it. But I didn't, and now I can't for the life of me remember what the story was about. I suspect last night has something to do with that ...
